The Lamar High School track teams competed in the Booneville Bearcat Relays on Monday, April 13.
In the boys division, Jake Reames led the Warriors with two first-place finishes and one second-place finish. He won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.14 and clocked a 53.35 to win the 400-meter dash. His time of 23.50 in the 200-meter dash secured him second place in that event.
Eli Jones took first place in the triple jump with a total distance of 40’4.5”. Luke Jones placed second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:51.19, and Kade Boen recorded a jump of 5’10.5” for a second-place finish in high jump.
In the girls division, Phoenix Sanders took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.27 and placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.44.
Brooklyn Meimerstorf clocked a 6:32.81 for first place in the 1,600-meter run.
Other results were as follows.
Girls
400-meter dash: Avery Fisher, eighth place, 1:26.14.
1,600-meter run: Ava Matra, fourth place, 8:12.94.
Shot put: Alexis Lara, third place, 27’7”.
Boys
100-meter dash: Blaine Berry, 11th place, 12.06.
200-meter dash: Hunter Reding, 14th place, 26.30.
400-meter dash: Kaden Parmenter, 10th place, 1:01.07.
800-meter run: Malachi Smith, sixth place, 2:56.94.
110-meter hurdles: A.J. Fowler, seventh place, 20.63.
300-meter hurdles: Eli Jones, third place, 46.38.
4×100-meter relay: seventh place, 57.44.
4×200-meter relay: second place, 1:38.50.
4×800-meter relay: fourth place, 12:12.76.
High jump: Eli Jones, fifth place, 5’8.5”.
Long jump: Zaedyn Rogers, ninth place, 18’4”; Jake Reames, 17th place, 12’8”.
Pole vault: Luke Jones, eighth place, 8’6”.
Discus: Kaz Crotts, fifth place, 96’5”; Destin Price, sixth place, 93’5”.
Shot put: Destin Price, fourth place, 37’7.5”; Saul Sanchez, fifth place, 36’.
