The Johnson County Graphic Editorial Page Policy

The Johnson County Graphic welcomes letters to the editor on topical matters. We hope
the opinions published here encourage you to share your opinion through a letter to the
editor to further public discourse about the issues important to all of the citizens of
Johnson County and the surrounding areas. All letters must be signed by the author and
include your street address and daytime phone number for verification purposes. Street
address and phone number will not be published with the letter. No letters will be
published anonymously.

The Graphic has sole discretion to decide whether a reader submission will be published. If
your letter is selected it will be run on a single occasion and by submitting the letter you
agree to give us the right to publish it in print and digital form. All letters are subject to
editing for spelling and grammar and potentially libelous statements will be deleted. The
Graphic will not accept letters that are duplicated, reprinted, copied, or otherwise
reproduced. Letters should either be typed and double spaced or clearly printed by hand
and should not exceed 400 words. Letters exceeding this length could be subject to editing
and may not be published in their entirety. Please do not use all capital letters when typing.
Syndicated and local writers are presenting their own viewpoints, none of which
necessarily represent that of The Graphic. Letters to the editor may be mailed to The

dropped by our office by the author.
