Harvey W. Thompson

Harvey Ward Thompson, 61, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 24, 2004, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

He was a son of the late Harvey Lee Thompson and Wardena Maude Yockey Adams, laborer, Baptist, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Andrew Thompson and Billie Lay Cook Thompson.

He is survived by one daughter, Rolene Thompson of Clarksville; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Linda Thompson of Yukon, Okla., and Brandon and Tina Thompson of Bethel Acers, Okla.; two sisters, Laverna May Baker of Knoxville and Cellie Maude Johnston of Mineral Wells, Texas; one brother, Wallace Eugene Thompson of Texas; and seven grandchildren, Micheal Thompson, Justin Tobey, Sean Norton, Brandi Thompson, Jami Thompson, Aubbi Thompson and Courtli Thompson.

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.

Mildred B. Robinson

Mildred Blackard Robinson, 93, of Little Rock died Saturday, April 26, 2003.

A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late John Oscar and Emily Rebecca Walton Blackard, widow of Jesse Leon Robinson Sr., registered nurse, lifetime member of Tyler Street Baptist Church and Baptist State Hospital Nurses Alumnae.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Leon and Barbara Robinson and David Robinson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Chapel in Little Rock with Rev. James Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6- 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, 2 St. Vincent Circle, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Sadie V. Barnes

Sadie V. Barnes, 91, of Clarksville died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Regional Nursing Center in Bryant.

She was a native of Nauvoo, Ala., daughter of the late Edley Springsteen and Rhoda Ellen Plunkett Dunn, widow of Carrel C. Barnes, retired employee of Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and was preceded in death by one daughter, Nina Creager; and one son, Aubrey Barnes.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Michael Vickery of Bryant; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Aggie Barnes of Cabot, Otis and Marlene Barnes of Arlington, Tenn., and Stan and Elaine Barnes of New Port Richey, Fla.; one sister, Norma Best of Empire, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Hardwicke Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allan Ellison, Aaron Ellison, Shayne Allison, Jeffrey Ellison, Pete Marcle and Ryan McKim.
