Clarksville, Lamar Compete At Jr. Sand Lizard Relays; LeFlore Wins Girls High Point Award

Junior high track teams from Clarksville and Lamar were among those competing in the Junior Sand Lizard Relays at Dardanelle on Tuesday, April 7.
Landry LeFlore of Clarksville won the high point award in the girls division. She won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:46.31 and the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:09.38. She also placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:08.89 and second in the pole vault with a vault of 7’6”. In the high jump, she recorded a jump of 4’4” for third place, and in the 100-meter dash, she clocked a 15.44 for 10th place.
Peyton Connor of Lamar won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 56.87 and placed second in the high jump with a jump of 4’4”.
Carys Miranda of Lamar recorded a throw of 77’6” to take first place in discus, and the Lamar girls 4×800-meter relay team of Macy Marlow, Nevaeh Ruffaner, Camila Flores and Avery Mashburn took first place with a time of 12:18.42.
Raelyn Campbell of Clarksville won the high jump at 4’6”, and Clarksville’s Jenavieve Jordan placed second in long jump with a distance of 13’10”.
The Clarksville girls placed third in team standings, with Lamar close behind in fourth place.
In the boys division, the 4×800-meter relay team from Lamar, consisting of Kooper Colvin, Mathew Flores, Cash Manning and Sylis Kraus, earned a second-place finish with a time of 10:32.34. The 4×400-relay team from Clarksville, composed of Ian Delgado, Tristan Dutton, Arturo Perez Garcia and Thaddeus Williams, finished in third place at 4:16.82.
Landon Plugge of Clarksville placed second in discus with a throw of 117’2”. John Belden of Clarksville placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.52, while teammate Asher Reynolds took third place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.51.
