Lamar Softball Defeats Ozark
Senior Mylee Parker threw a shutout to lead the Lamar Lady Warriors softball team past the Ozark Lady Hillbillies 2-0 in the 2026 season opener on Tuesday, March 3.
The Lady Warriors got on the board in the second inning after Addie Hardin hit a solo home run to left field. Mayci Hilton added another run in the fourth inning, on an RBI double by Hardin.
For Lamar, Hardin went two-for-two at the plate and was issued one walk. Hilton was one-for-three with a double. Newt Melton also had one hit in three at-bats.
Cassey Cook, Jaydelynn Brown, Harley Collums and Brylee Riddell each recorded one hit for Ozark.
Both teams were strong in the circle. Parker was in the circle all seven innings for Lamar and struck out five batters, while Ozark sat down seven.
Aubrey Durning took the loss for the Lady Hillbillies. She went seven innings, surrendering two runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking one.
