The Clarksville High School Lady Panthers split a pair of conference games at home recently, falling to Mena but winning over Ozark before suffering a loss on the road at Pottsville.
Mena
The Lady Panthers hosted the Mena Lady Bearcats on Friday, Jan. 9, and lost a close game, 35-29.
Clarksville held a 6-3 lead after one quarter but managed just four points in the second quarter and allowed 10 from the Lady Bearcats, who led 13-10 at the break. Mena poured in 18 third-quarter points and held the Lady Panthers to 12. Clarksville outscored the visitors 7-4 in the fourth quarter but fell short in the six-point decision.
Addison Williams led in scoring with 13 points. Olivia Pelfrey finished with eight points.
Emma Wiggins and Madison Linton each tallied three points, and Morgan Shook contributed two.
Ozark
Clarksville earned a 41-33 win over the Ozark Lady Hillbillies at home on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the opening period, but Ozark responded, adding 11 points to the board in the second quarter and limiting Clarksville to six for a 19-15 CHS lead at halftime. The Lady Hillbillies added 10 points in the third quarter, while Clarksville added nine to the board. In the fourth quarter, the Lady Panthers totaled 13 points and held Ozark to eight as they took the eight-point victory.
Williams poured in 18 points to lead the Lady Panthers in the win. Also in double figures was Linton with 10 points.
Pelfrey finished with nine points, and Wiggins recorded four.
Pottsville
The Lady Panthers traveled to Pottsville on Friday, Jan. 16, and fell by a score of 54-23.
Pelfrey and Williams each had seven points. Linton added six, and Shook chipped in two.
Clarksville will host Dardanelle on Friday, Jan. 23, for homecoming, when the Lady Panthers will play after the senior boys.
