The Ozark City Council declared vacancies in two positions during its meeting on Jan. 12.
Vacancies were announced in the city attorney position and in the Council member Ward 1, Position 1 position. The city will work to fill the attorney vacancy as quickly as possible, Mayor Roxie Hall said, and the 2026 budget will be amended to delete the city attorney salary until the position is filled.
Hall reported four individuals have submitted requests to fill the Council member position. The deadline to be considered is 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29.
Other Matters

–An ordinance was approved designating procedures for Council meetings. The only change in proceedings for 2026 will be the order in which public comments are heard.
–The Council approved an ordinance amending the 2026 budget and the previous ordinance setting the salary of the city clerk for 2026. The city clerk received a 3% cost-of-living increase, raising the salary to $10,000.64 annually.
–Advanced Solutions, Inc. (ASI), which handles the city’s information technology services, announced an increase in its rates. Effective Jan. 1, the rates for a break/fix increased from $105 to $110 per hour, plus sales tax. Prepaid consulting blocks (50 hours) will increase from $5,000 to $5,250, reflecting a change from $100 to $105 per hour, with no sales tax.
–CARDS announced a 3% increase in rates for trash services. This will raise the residential rate by $0.11/week per household. Hall stated she met with CARDS and, starting in March, the company will be required to pay $2,000 monthly rent per contract.
–The 2026 water budget was approved as presented.
–Michael and Leah Blanchard addressed the Council about opening a new RV park at 302 E. Commercial Street, across from Butterball. The park will have 75 camping sites, with the back of the park designated for “glamping.” Dean and Dusty Norbert will manage the first six months after the park opens. The park will have two entrances and will be less than 10 acres. As the park will be within city limits, the city will be responsible for all policing. The water department assured the Council the water and sewer lines were adequate for the park and plumbing plans will be submitted to the state.
