Lady Panther Softball Closes Out Regular Season
The Clarksville Lady Panther softball team finished regular season play last week with conference games against Waldron and Dardanelle and nonconference matchups against Paris and Atkins.
The Lady Panthers will play in the 4-4A District Tournament in Ozark at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, against Waldron.
Dardanelle
The Lady Panthers fell to Dardanelle 14-2 on Senior Night Wednesday, April 23.
Shook started in the circle, going one and two-thirds innings and giving up seven runs on three hits with six walks. Willis came in for relief and gave up seven runs on seven hits with five walks and one strikeout.
Clarksville scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Brott led off the inning with a walk. Phillips bunted and reached on an error by the first baseman and Brott scored on the error. Shook laid down a sacrifice bunt to move Phillips to second. Phillips stole third and scored on a throwing error by the catcher.
Phillips and Willis each earned a hit on the night. Phillips stole three bases. Griselda Perez earned two walks on the night and Brott had one walk. The Lady Panthers turned one double play on the night.
