CHS Swim Teams Finish 1st and 2nd At Conference Meet
CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS—The Clarksville High School boys swim team won the 4A-1A West Conference meet on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Russellville Aquatic Center. Three school records were broken, including the 200-medley relay team of Noah Bailey, Jalen Floyd, Jack Mize and Zeke Jones, which shaved 2.51 seconds off the record time. Floyd set a new record in the boys 50-meter freestyle with a time of 23.84 and broke the boys 100-meter freestyle record with a time of 53.44. SECOND PLACE—The Clarksville High School girls swim team finished in second place at the 4A-1A West Conference meet on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Russellville Aquatic Center. The 4×100-meter freestyle relay team of Mary-Jose Cortes, Alexandra Cortes, Carley Willis and Evelyn Schubarth led the way, reducing their time by 11.16 seconds.
