Clarksville’s Coach Ross Honored

COACH HONORED—The Clarksville High School athletic department and basketball teams honored retired Coach David Ross in a ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 5, honoring the 50-year anniversary of the first game in the CHS gym, coached by Ross on Feb. 5, 1975, against the Lavaca Golden Arrows. Ross was recognized at center court prior to the Panthers’ basketball game against Ozark Catholic. Attending the ceremony were (from left) CHS alumnus and Ozark Catholic Basketball Coach Cody Vaught, Clarksville Athletic Director Michael Banning, Ross, Clarksville Boys Basketball Coach Chuck Davis and Clarksville Girls Basketball Coach Jacob Tolman.
