COMMUNITY COVERAGE
Clarksville Mayor David Rieder (front, center) cuts the ribbon signifying the official opening of the Clarksville Baseball Complex on Thursday, June 11. City officials, community members and representatives of the Johnson County Boys Club participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony, sponsored by the Clarksville-Johnson County Chamber of Commerce, and toured the new facility prior to the JCBC All-Star Game, which was the first event held at the complex. Located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Cline and Clark roads, the facility includes three fields as well as restrooms and a concession stand. The complex construction was part of the city’s Vision 21 initiative to improve parks and recreation facilities in the area.
