CHS Boys Swim Is State Runner-Up: Lady Panthers Finish Fourth

The Clarksville High School swim teams competed in the 1A-4A State Swim and Dive Championships at the Russellville Aquatic Center last week, with the boys team finishing as runner-up.

The team cut a total of 13.76 seconds and Jalen Floyd broke his school records in both the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle.

Both of the boys divers achieved personal best scores, with Daniel Cuevas earning 220.50 points and Jaret Sandoval receiving 230.40 points.

Girls

The girls secured fourth place, with massive time drops, cutting a total of 94.3 seconds.

Adriana Bowman reduced 8.41 seconds off her 200-meter freestyle, while Alexandra Cortes dropped 14.7 seconds off her 200-meter freestyle.

Mary-Jose Cortes cut 12.58 seconds off her 200-meter individual medley and 6.95 seconds off her 100-meter freestyle. Carley Willis reduced 37.49 seconds off her 500-meter freestyle.

Evelyn Schubarth dropped 0.55 seconds off her 100-meter butterfly and 12.02 seconds off her 200-meter individual medley. Peyton Harris cut 1.6 seconds off her 50-meter freestyle.
