Lamar’s Wilkins Named State FFA President

STATE FFA PRESIDENT—Josie Wilkins was elected the 2024-25 Arkansas FFA state president during the organization’s state convention in Hot Springs April 22-24. She will lead the association of over 16,000 FFA members for the upcoming year. The 18-year-old daughter of Billy Joe and Courtney Wilkins of Lamar, she is a senior at Lamar High School where she is the president of the graduating class of 2024. She is active in the Lamar FFA Chapter, CSU, is the president of the American Junior Chianina Association and the Arkansas Junior Cattlemen’s Association, and was a member of the Lamar Lady Warriors basketball team. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas and pursue a degree in agricultural communications and agricultural leadership.
