Demolition Makes Way For Library Expansion

The demolition of houses adjacent to the Johnson County Public Library on Taylor Circle began on Friday, March 15. The property was included in the 2022 county purchase of land for library expansion for $417,151. The library will lease the land from the county for its expansion project, which will include the addition of a community space. In 2015, a millage was approved to fund library projects.
