Aaron Lee Henderson, 30, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at his home in Tulsa, Okla.
He was a native of Pryor, Okla., raised in Locust Grove, Okla., and later moved to Inola, Okla., where he graduated high school with the class of 1999. He was employed in telecommunications and as a computer tech consultant and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Austin, J.D. Henderson, and Helen Henderson.
Survivors include his parents, Randy Henderson and wife, Angela, of Austin, Texas, and Paula Corle and husband, Dan, of Inola, Okla.; grandmother, Mary Austin of Tulsa, Okla.; four brothers, Randy M. Henderson and wife, Terra, of Las Vegas, Nev., Adam Henderson and wife, Stephanie, of Catoosa, Okla., Jacob Henderson and wife, Ashley, of Okinawa, Japan, and Daniel Henderson of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Rachel Henderson of Austin, Texas; and nieces and nephews, Kylar, Caiden, Owen and Aralyn.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Rogers officiating followed by a graveside service and burial at 3:30 p.m. at Wayton Cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Bobby Joe Daniel, 61, of Lamar died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Eugene, Ore., son of the late Robert E. and Betty Winfield Daniel, and employee of Tyson Processing plant in Clarksville.
Survivors include one son, Michael Wayne Griffin of Lamar; one daughter, Stacy Magby of Clarksville; three brothers, Kim Daniel of Lamar, Don Pitts of Ozone, and Marty Pitts of Pottsville; one sister, Teresa Palmer of Clarksville; one half-brother, Vincent Daniel of Fayetteville; stepmother, Francis Daniel of Lamar; stepfather, Clifton Pitts of Ozone; and five grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Toby Hogan officiating. Burial was in Srygley Cemetery in Coal Hill.
Pallbearers were Brett Daniel, Jerry Pitts, Cliff LeFlore, Adam Daniel, Roger Gschwend and Vincent Daniel.
Edna Ann Furr, 63, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Hixson, Tenn.
She was a native of Gunnison, Miss., widow of Virgil Columbus Furr, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by one brother, James Warren.
Survivors include one son, Virgel T. (Jodi) Furr of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; one daughter, Alicia (Jim) Sherrill of Dover; two brothers, John Warren of Pontotoc, Miss., and George Warren of Greenville, Miss.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the North New Hope Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Frank Douglas Scott Jr., 75, of Hagarville died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Long, Okla., son of the late Vera (Ballinger) and Frank Douglas Scott Sr., retired steel employee, attended Springs of Living Water Church in Ozark, and was preceded in death by one brother, Dole Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Gwindlene Sapp Scott; two sons, James Copeland of Texarkana, Texas, and Billy Copeland of Oklahoma; two daughters, Vetrice Gaitskell of Coal Hill and Veda Reno of Clarksville; one sister, Betty Queen of Tulsa, Okla.; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Hagarville Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Haston and Rev. Bill Reno officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ned Clemons, Tink Hefley, Jeffery Freeman, Terry Svolos, Dave Gailtskell and Ralph Freeman.
Leslie Daniel Vessey, 53, of McCleary, Wash., died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2011.
She was a daughter of Dan Daniel of Olympia, Wash., formerly of Johnson County, and the late Forest Ann Daniel.
Other survivors include her husband, Roy Vessey; one son; one daughter; two brothers; and two sisters. Local surviving relatives include three aunts, Wanda Daniel Pearson and Frances Daniel, both of Lamar, and Nita Daniel Lewis of Clarksville; and numerous cousins.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma, Wash., with Rev. Brett DeMond, pastor of McCleary United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the McCleary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bruce Marbut, Gary Piercey, Dennis Sharp, Charles Watson, Tim Beard, and Bob Meyer.
Sue McDaniel, 97, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Coal Hill, daughter of the late John James and Elizabeth Gertrude Sherburne Walker, widow of Charlie McDaniel, member of the First United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Bill McDaniel; and one grandson, Malachai McDaniel.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Susan Trujillo of Clarksville and Brandon McDaniel of Flat Rock; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Lonnie Gilbert, Joe Curtis, David Shepard, Sterling Penix, Scott Ross and Michael Kovash.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Lewis, Tom Douthit Patterson, and Jack Phillips.
