Geraldine Ball

Geraldine Neihouse Ball, 72, of North Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, March 18, 2011.

She was a former resident of Coal Hill, daughter of the late George and Theresa Rinke Neihouse, retired employee of Hallmark cards after 33 years of service, and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; four brothers, Jerome, Gerad, Edward and John Wayne Neihouse; one sister, Sarah; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Dyer.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Cecil of Gladstone, Mo., and Edward Cecil of Independence, Mo.; one daughter, Kali Schneider of Plano, Texas; three grandchildren, James, Jeffrey and Jessica Cockrill; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass with rosary was held at D.W. Newcomer’s White Chapel in Gladstone, Mo.

Jacob Fielding Wright

Jacob Fielding Wright, infant son of Dale and Beth Patterson Wright of Clarksville, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

Other survivors include three sisters, Mattie, Kate and Lilly Wright of the home; one brother, Ethan Wright of the home; grandparents, Ronnie Wright of Ozark, Tim and P.J. Skaggs of Ozark and Ronald and Pat Patterson of Clarksville; and great-grandmothers, Laura Patterson and Juanita Hardin, both of Clarksville, and Venice Kirby of Ozark.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Jackson Cemetery with Rev. Bill Allen officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Robert E. Dinsmore

Robert E. (Bob) Dinsmore, 76, of Clarksville died Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Custer, S.D.

He was a son of the late Edward and Donna Watkins Dinsmore, former truck driver, retired employee of Greenville Tube Corporation, and preceded in death by one sister, Arlene Moody.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Morgan Dinsmore; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Rick Russell of Springdale and Stephanie and Michael Brandon of Clarksville; one son, Ed Dinsmore of Springtown, Texas; eight grandchildren, Christy Sparks and husband, Jason, of Lamar, Roberta Duling and husband, Doug, of Elkins, Chase Fultz of Johnson, Sydney and Reanee Hunt of Clarksville, and Josh, Justin and Jacob Brandon of Van Buren; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cody and Michael Chase Sparks, and Eli, KimberLyn and Hannah Duling; and one niece, Donna Rae and husband, Ron Bartak, of Madison, Neb.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Frost officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chase Fultz, Jason Sparks, Doug Duling, Craig Frost, Don Alan Frost, and Morgan Jennings.

Honorary pallbearers will be Christy Sparks, Roberta Duling, Sydney and Reanee Hunt, Cody and Michael Chase Sparks, and KimberLyn and Hannah Duling.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Ruth Arlene Pitts

Ruth Arlene Pitts, 66,  of Lamar died Saturday, April 2, 2011.

She was a native of the Murray’s Chapel Community, daughter of the late Coy and Sinda Rowbotham, Cherokee Indian, graduate of the University of the Ozarks, retired school teacher having taught at Hartman, Clarksville and Lamar schools where she served as FBLA sponsor, and was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Jonathon Pitts; and three sisters, two infants and Christine Mills.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Stormie Sanders of Jacksonville; and one niece, Mindy (Jerry) Crow of Dardanelle.

Graveside services and burial were at 5 p.m. Monday, April 4, at Russell Cemetery with Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Former students and friends served as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of Community Funeral Home.
