Bonnie Bridges, 75, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008.
She was a native of Nogo, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Bertha Raines Ford, widow of Troy Bridges, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Elson, Ollison, and Loy Edison Ford; and one sister, Stella Austin.
Survivors include one son, Alfred Bridges; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Barry Roeper; two brothers, Lewie and Troy Ford; three sisters, Ava Smith, Shelby Jean Ragland, and Rosey Collins; and four grandchildren.
Private burial was in Nogo Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Bonnie M. Burke-Bennett, 86, of Kelseyville, Calif., brother of John Chrisman of Clarksville, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Meadow Wood Nursing Facility in Clear Lake, Calif.
She was born at Hartman to the late Marshall Ney and Elva Lee Chrisman and was preceded in death by an infant son; one sister, Gloria Bourland; and one brother, Will Mike Chrisman.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Bennett; three daughters, Patricia Shepherd of Evergreen, Colo., Judith Edwards of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Kaye Williams of San Jose, Calif.; two other brothers, Robert Chrisman and Marshall Chrisman, both of Ozark; four grandchildren, Leah Shepherd of Powell, Wyo., Brian Shepherd of Denver, Colo., and Nicholas Williams and Aaron Williams, both of Poway, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Chapel of the Lake Funeral Home at Lakeport, Calif.
Doug Woods, 38, of Lamar died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was pastor of Cabin Creek Baptist Church at Lamar and was preceded in death by one son, Josiah Woods.
Survivors include his wife, Monica Randall Woods; father, Lewis Woods Sr. of Galesburg, Ill.; mother, Debbie Mathis Swan of Hayti, Mo.; one sister, Lauren Swan of Hayti, Mo.; one brother, Matt Woods and wife, Jamee, of Castallian Springs, Tenn.; grandmother, Maggie Lee Woods of Gleason, Tenn.; nephew, Beau Woods of Castallian Springs, Tenn.; and niece, Maggie Woods of Castallian Springs, Tenn.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Lewis Woods Sr. officiating.
Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Josh Bazyk, Don Stumbaugh, Donavon Stark, Darrell Wheeler, Gary Goza, Ronnie Funderburg, Buddy Smith, Joe Fields, Don Wilkins, Randy Barmore, Daniel Nichols, Clint Ratcliff, Nelson Sparks and M. L. Griffith.
Memorials may be made to Cabin Creek Baptist Church.
Elsie Bray, 93, of Clarksville died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Clarksville Health and Rehab.
She was a native of Fox Lake, Minn., daughter of the late Fran and Dora Wyatt Crawford, and widow of Robert (Bob) Bray.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Bray of Scranton and David Bray of Melbourne, Fla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Lamar Cemetery with Rev. Don Marvel officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Daniel Allen Bray, David Wayne Bray Jr., Steve Barto, Cecil Paul (Bo) Clayborn, Keith Douglas Clayborn, and Andrew Allen Bray.
Garnett V. Waggoner, 92, of Russellville, mother of Marguerite Box of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at her home.
She was a native of Vinita, Okla., daughter of the late Frank and Lula Mae Cole Waggoner, widow of Carl Thomas Longbrake, member of the VFW, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Rebeccas, Baptist, and retired teacher.
She is survived by two other daughters, Lena Mae Speith of Russellville and Neala Dawn Sherrick of Lamar, Mo.; four sons, Carl Gene Longbrake of Widefield, Colo., Norman Deen Longbrake of Stockton, Mo., Larry Neal Longbrake of Jerico Springs, Mo., and Rocky Deen Wilson of Russellville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Josh Leavell, Hiden Key, Joey Key, Rocky Wilson, Norman Deen Longbrake, and Larry Neal Longbrake.
Patricia Gonzalez, 18, of Clarksville, a native of Mexico, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on I-540 near the 28 mile marker in Crawford County.
She is survived by one son, Kaven Osvaldo Gonzalez of Clarksville; two sisters, Maria Gonzalez of Clarksville and Bertha Alicia Gonzalez of Mexico; and three brothers, Jose Guadalope Gonzalez, Teveso Jr. Gonzalez and Fidencio Gonzalez, all of Mexico.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Father William Wewers officiating. Burial will be in Salinas Victoria, N. L. Mexico.
Vinente Rivera, 22, of Clarksville died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on I-540 near the 28 mile marker in Crawford County.
He was a native of Rio Grande Zacatecas, Mexico.
Survivors include his mother, Elena Robles of Mexico; brothers and sisters of Mexico; and cousins of Clarksville.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
