Auline Crabtree
Auline Crabtree, 90, of Coal Hill
died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late John
William and Jessie Jane Dorney Scott and was preceded in death by her
husband of 50-plus years, Arlice R. Crabtree; one son, Reginald L.
Crabtree; one brother, Jim Scott; and one sister, Stelline Tyler.
Survivors include one daughter,
Beatrice (Benny) Courtney of Alix; three sons, John (Linda) Crabtree of
Clarksville, Jerry (Karen) Crabtree of Coal Hill, and Shawn P. Crabtree
of Altus; three sisters, Johnnie (Russell) Davis of Grayridge, Mo.,
Lourean Rasey of Florida; and Querita Marvel of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one
brother, Joe Scott of Grayridge, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were
at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Hess Cemetery with Rev. James Goodman
officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Michael
Crabtree, Paul Crabtree, Bradley Ball, Jerimia Moore, and Steve
Crabtree Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Ophelia
James, Lottie Ball, Jennifer Crabtree, Sarah Burns, and Jonna Crabtree.
Jimmy L. Tong
Jimmy L. Tong, 68, of Clarksville
died Dec. 28, 2011.
He was a native of Ashdown, son of
the late Noah and Pauline Acord Tong, carpenter in Johnson County for
20 years, and was preceded in death by one sister, Joann Griffith; and
one brother, Charlie Tong.
Survivors include his wife, Helen
Tong; two daughters, Denice Melson of Ozone and Barbara Metcalf of
Lamar; one sister, Helen Gipson of Clarksville; three grandsons, Kaleb
Melson and John Mooney, both of Ozone, and Jacob Combs of Lamar; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m.
Friday, Dec. 30, at Mount Vernon Cemetery with Rev. Carl Sory and Rev.
J.W. McEntyre officiating.
Active pallbearers were Eddie Wood,
Kaleb Melson, Charlie Burton, David Ross, Ed Kimbriel, and Tim Gabbard.
Honorary pallbearers were John
Mooney, David Wood, Kenneth Melson, Jacob Combs, and nephews.
Nan LaVerne Faucett
Nan LaVerne Faucett, 88, of Green
Valley, Ariz., died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.
A native of Coal Hill, she was a
daughter of the late Howard and Bess Hess Baskin, widow of Herman
Faucett, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Tandy Lee Faucett;
one son, James Robert Faucett; and two brothers, Robert Howard Baskin
and James Melvin Baskin.
Survivors include one daughter,
Nancy (Doug) Sakal of Green Valley, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Jennifer
Faucett of Conway and Neil Brashears of Texas; two nieces, Roberta
Coffee and Rebecca Ritchie, both of Clarksville; and two cousins, Liz
Scefer of Fort Smith and Linda Anderson of Texas.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.
3, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Horne officiating.
Burial was in Hess Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Neil Brashears,
Jerry Coffee, Wesley Coffee, Seth Coffee, Ethan Coffee, Terry Johanson,
David Coffee, Douglas Ritchie and Ryan Silva.
Ruby Bernice Boen
Ruby Bernice Boen, 94, of
Clarksville died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Johnson Regional Medical
Center.
She was a native of Dodd City,
daughter of the late Henry and Letha Fisk Lister, widow of Herman Boen,
Assembly of God faith, retired Johnson Regional Medical Center
employee, and was preceded in death by one son, Alvie Lee Boen.
Survivors include one daughter,
Berneal (Calvin) Warren of Clarksville; two sons, Bobby (Ann) Boen and
Doyle Boen, all of Hagarville; two sisters, Inda Mae Ragsdale and Wanda
Ward, both of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos
Pledger and Rev. William Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Rosetta
Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tony
Proctor, Dean Wright, Jerry Hicks, Don Warren, Floyd Edwards, and
Donnie Hicks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aubrey
Yount and Eddie Gray.
Pauline Stewart
Pauline Stewart, 73, of Springdale
died Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, in Springdale.
She was a native of Limestone,
former resident of Oark, daughter of the late Robert Davis, and was
preceded in death by one brother, Aryle Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 56
years, George Stewart; one daughter, Linda (Doug) Hatchett of
Clarksville; one son, Richard (Diana) Stewart of Springdale; mother,
Opal Young Davis of Springdale; four sisters, Eylene Litterill of
Springdale, Anita Gibson and Lorretta King, both of California, and
Freda Poplin of Kansas; one brother, Billy Davis of Springdale; and
three grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec.
30, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger
officiating. Burial was in Yale Cemetery.
Family members served as pallbearers.
