NORTH-SOUTH ROUTE OPEN—A third north-south route (Meadow Place) from Highway 64 to Poplar Street in Clarksville is now open for traffic. The street has been closed for several months while sidewalks were constructed, new surfacing laid down and the low water bridge replaced which will allow the roadway to be usable during rainy seasons. The total cost of the project is $710,930.18 and was funded by the one-cent sales tax. Another project in conjunction with Meadow Place is to construct additional parking for Langlois Field.
