Anna L. Bartlett
Anna L. Bartlett, 88, of
Clarksville, formerly of Altus, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Silverton, Ore.,
daughter of the late Sam and Carrie Gladon McKeever, widow of Marvin W.
Bartlett, retired licensed practical nurse and Quick Service Laundry
employee, attended Clarksville Seventh Day Adventist Church, and was
preceded in death by two sons, Clifford Bartlett and Marvin Bartlett.
Survivors are two sons, Loren
Bartlett of Little Rock and Eugene (Susanna) Bartlett of Pettigrew;
five grandchildren, Clifford Bartlett Jr., Pastor Johnny (Trudy)
Bartlett, Stephen Bartlett, Sylvia Bartlett, and Tracy Bartlett
(Ronald) England; and four great-grandchildren, Brett Bartlett, Austin
Bartlett, Daisy England and Lyssa England.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan.
14, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Melvin Bankhead officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Cliff
Bartlett, Dave Young, Mike Mierop, Carl Holland, Bryan Mateo, and
Samuel Santos.
Honorary pallbearers were Loren
Bartlett and Eugene Bartlett.
Guy Francis Goodin
Guy Francis Goodin, 58, of Coal Hill
died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville,
truck driver for Tyson Foods, member and deacon of Fernwood Assembly of
God Church, son of the late Guy L. Goodin, and was preceded in death by
two brothers, Bob Goodin and William Goodin.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie
Farmer Goodin; one daughter, Shannon M. Jones of Clarksville; one son,
Dawayne Goodin of Caddo Gap; mother, Leona Buffalo Goodin of Paris;
five sisters, Lorinda Wise of North Richland Hills, Texas, Phyllis
Sloan of Russellville, Jessie Goodin of Oxnard, Calif., Clarissa
Lickliter of Mulberry and Marie Earls of London; and four
grandchildren, Blake Jones, Keagan Jones, Kaitlyn Goodin and Aaron
Goodin.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday,
Jan. 20, at the Fernwood Assembly of God Church with Rev. Eddie
Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in Hartman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Butch Marvel,
Don Bridges, Ted Williams, Allen Walker, Randy Allen, Danny Goodin,
Paul Brasel, and Bob Deen.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.

Kermit Edwin James
Kermit Edwin James, 85, of
Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Hagarville, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at
Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Texas.
He was a son of the late John and
Rachel Price James, member of Lamar Baptist Church, retired department
of defense dependent schools employee, and was preceded in death by his
first wife, Mary Francis James; one brother, Jack James; and one
sister, Pauline Yearwood.
Survivors include his wife, Nelia
James; one daughter, Annaliza James Tompot of San Diego, Calif.; two
sons, Jerry Alan James of Neosho, Mo., and Brian Scott James; one
sister, Betty Emery of Clarksville; one brother, Alvin (Son) James of
Hagarville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Jan. 14, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Vire
officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy James, Larry
Holman, Mike Harvey, Steve Jones, Jason James, Brock Holman, and Randy
Tompot.
Larry Wayne Baker
Larry Wayne Baker, 51, of Ozark died
Sunday, Jan. 15, 2011, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville, son
of the late Loris Stanley and Betty Ruth Stephens Baker, employee of
Butterball Plant in Ozark, and was preceded in death by one brother,
James Michael Baker.
Survivors include two daughters,
Amber Renee Thompson of Lamar and Tabitha Lynn Baker of Hartman; one
son, Robert Wayne Baker of Coal Hill; grandmother, Hartrue Steuart of
Clarksville; three sisters, Vickie Hall of Altus, Ella Bullock of
Clarksville, and Martina Brown of Lamar; two brothers, James Hirtler
and Wayne Stephens, both of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Tanner
Thompson and KiSean Thompson, both of Lamar; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday,
Jan. 19, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger
officiating. Burial will be in Lone Pine Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jordan
Thompson, Robbie Baker, Wayne Stephens, Leon Hall, Roger Dunn, and
Eddie Hirtler.

Norman Crowden
Norman (Skeeter) Crowden, 78, of
Clarksville died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of
the late Isaac Rush and Anna Belle Killough Crowden, attended Lamar
High School, Army veteran, electrician, member of Clarksville Country
Club, golfer, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Marybelle
Crowden; one son, Mitchell Crowden; three sisters, Ellen McCarley,
Emogene Crotts and Eudalah Jennings; and two brothers, Eugene Crowden
and Herbert Russell Crowden.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie
Timmons Crowden; one son, Calvin Crowden of Berkley Lake, Ga.; one
daughter, Robin (Jeff) Cingolani of Springdale; one brother, Richard
(Buster) Crowden of Lamar; one grandson, Alex Rice of Springdale; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday,
Jan. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Horn
officiating. Burial was in Lamar Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Morris Pearson, Al
Davis, Rodger Callahan, Ashley Davis, Richard Crowden Jr., and Steve
Woodard.
Beverly Ann Gray
Beverly Ann Towner Gray, 73, of
Scranton, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, in Russellville.
A native of Fruta, Colo., she was a
daughter of the late Beryl and Florence Mowry Towner, office manager
and co-owner of Fox Slaughter House in Scranton and a member of Johnson
Freewill Baptist Church in Scranton.
She is survived by her husband of 55
years, William Gray; two daughters, Cynthia Lewis of Yucca Valley,
Calif., and Kristi Arbaugh of Scranton, three sons, Michael Gray of
Roanoke, Va., Randall Gray of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Justin Gray of
Scranton; one brother, Jerry Towner of Roseville, Calif.; 18
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Johnson Free Will Baptist Church in Scranton
with burial in Prairie View Cemetery in Prairie View under the
direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Michael Gray,
Randall Gray, Justin Gray, Jeremiah Gray, Chris Gray, Joshua Gray,
Daniel Jennings and Devin Jennings.
Ernest E. Umholtz
Springtown, Texas—Ernest E. Umholtz,
75, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Services: Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Service was 12:30 P. M. on
Friday, January 6, 2012, at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes with interment
at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ernest was born August 9, 1936, in
Ozark, Arkansas, to George W. Umholtz and Almeda F. Dobson Umholtz. He
was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church in Decatur and was a
Mason. He enjoyed working in the hay field and doing yard work. He also
loved traveling in his RV and camping.
Ernest was preceded in death by his
parents and two daughters.
Survivors: Loving wife of 34 years,
Dorothy Umholtz; three sons, Kenny Umholtz, Alan Umholtz and wife,
Beth, and Jerry Umholtz, all of Texas, and five grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Umholtz of Clarksville, AR;
four sisters, Geneva Stover of Fort Smith, AR, Eva Patton of Altus, AR,
and Bertha Williams and Barbara Sanders of Ozark, AR: and numerous
other family members and friends.

Frazer, 53, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012.
Memorial Service: A
celebration of
life was held on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Lake Arlington Baptist Church,
2912 Little Rd., Arlington with Dr. Eric Herrstrom, Dr. David George
and Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Visitation: The family received
friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W.
Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.

Les was born on April 19, 1958, in
Kansas City, MO to Lowell Burton Frazer and Juanita Owen Frazer. He
graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth on May
14, 1982, and married on May 15, 1982, at Southcliff Baptist Church.
Les was senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Scranton for six years
and also pastored in churches in Kansas City and Lamar, AR. A resident
of Arlington for the past 12 years, he was a member of Lake Arlington
Baptist Church and a second grade teacher at Bowie Elementary school in
Grand Prairie. He loved clowning ministry with balloons for Mission
Arlington, block parties and church. His clown name was Tiny with his
wife, Sweetie Pie. Les was a children's lay minister with Kids Rock at
Lake Arlington Baptist Church on Sundays.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, Lowell and Juanita Frazer.
Survivors: Wife, Kathy Estep
Frazer; sons, Andrew Douglass Frazer and Timothy Aaron Frazer; sister,
Lowella Eagan and husband, Roger; dogs, Riley and Timber; and a host of
family and friends.
