Arch Griffin Sr.
Herbert Arch Griffin Sr., 93, of
Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Clarksville, died Saturday, March 1, 2008,
at Spring Gate Nursing Home in Memphis, Tenn.
He was a son of the late Thomas
Henry and Ruby Lillian Harvey Griffin, retired saw mill employee, and
was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Lee Clark Griffin.
Survivors include one daughter,
Penny Sue Griffin Henson of Deer Park, Texas; one son, Herbert Arch
Griffin Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Edith Pauline Parks of
Puxico, Mo., and Wanda Anijean Sanders Roberts and Dorothy May Arnold,
both of Bedford, Ind.; four brothers, Thomas Henry Griffin Jr. of Kyle,
Texas, Marvin (Bud) Edward Griffin of Bedford, Ind., Glen Houston
Griffin of Kansas City, Mo., and Carl Lee (Dub) Griffin of Puxico, Mo.;
and two grandchildren, Judeah Diane Griffin Yarbro of Memphis, Tenn.,
and Amanda Sue Henson of Deer Park, Texas.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 8, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Arnold,
Carl Lee Griffin, Bobby Boen, Glen Griffin, Marvin Griffin, and Larry
Henson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.
Friday, March 7, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
