William R. Perren

William R. (Buddy) Perren, 72, of Lamar died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.

He was a son of the late John and Birdie Perren, member of Mountain Home Freewill Baptist Church, employed as a brick mason in the construction business, and was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Logan Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dessie Mae Perren; one daughter, Becky Wilburn and husband, Greg, of Knoxville; two sons, Johnny Perren and wife, Lydia, and David Perren and wife, Donita, all of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two sisters, Wanda Faye Dail and Myrtle Alma Collier, both of Lamar; one brother, Thomas Ray Perren of Brenham, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Mountain Home Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.

Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Jason Perren, Michael Perren, Bryan Perren, Russell Zachary, Daniel Zachary, and Ray Wilkinson.

Honorary pallbearers were Clifford Collier, Travis Wilson, Cory Kendall, and Billy Ray Perren.
