Alfreda H. Zach
Alfreda Henrietta Axford Zach, 92,
of Clarksville died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Clarksville Convalescent
She was a native of Pierre, S. D., daughter of the late Alfred and
Clara Axford, widow of Elmer Zach, Lutheran, graduate of Plainview
(Nebraska) High School and Reynolds School of
Cosmetology in Norfolk, co-owner and operator of a hardware store in
Plainview, Neb., until her retirement, former beautician, avid
gardener, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathryn Collins,
one granddaughter, Shana Zach, a sister, Dorothea Foster, and a
brother, Henry Axford.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilynn Zach and husband, Craig
Knecht, of Bedford, Wyo.; one son, Lowell Zach and wife, Andra, of
Clarksville; and two grandchildren, George Collins of Omaha, Neb., and
Steve Casselman of Deer Lake, Minn.; two great-grandsons; one sister,
Clara Luhr of Cherokee Village.
Funeral will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview, Neb., on Friday,
Feb. 15 with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Casselman, George Collins, Jim
Doggett, Bob Garrison, Dave Zach, and Mark Zach. Honorary pallbearer
will be Jeff Luschen.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
