Mrs. Ercil Reece, 76, of Lamar died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Lamar.

She was a member of Ozone Baptist Church, widow of Joseph Smith Reece, daughter of Thomas Marion and Susie Armelda Taylor Combest, and was preceded in death by one son, Lyndon R. Reece.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet Susan Synoground of Lamar, Lesa Kamolsiri of Fort Smith, and Elain Hodges of Sherman, Texas; five sons, Gary S. Reece of Clarksville, Louis G. Reece and Michael D. Reece, both of Ozone, Paul S. Reece of Hot Springs Village, and Donald K. Reece of Lamar; one brother, Phillip Marion Combest of Daytona Beach, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Ozone Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Preston officiating.

Burial was in Russell Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Eric Reece, Gregory Reece, Jason Reece, Jessie Kamolsiri, Mark Kamolsiri and David Kamolsiri.

Jerome F. Koerdt, 68, of Altus died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at his home.

A native of Hartman, he was a son of the late Casper J. and Helen Ehemann Koerdt, retired farmer, former employee of Atkins Pickle Company, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Altus and Knights of Columbus at Clarksville, and was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Alexis Pledger.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hermina Rinke Koerdt; two daughters, Sonita Pledger and Mikala Hudson, both of Altus; two brothers, Eugene Koerdt of Clarksville and Lawrence Koerdt of North Little Rock; and five grandchildren, Jeremy Pledger, Michael Pledger, Andrew Hudson, Nathan Hudson, and Patrick Hudson.

Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Hardwicke Funeral Home. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Hillary Filiatreau, OSB, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Fred Holloway, Eddie McCormick, Walter Rinke, James Dahlem, Dwayne Freeman, and George Shepherd.

Honorary pallbearers were E. D. Woods, Frank Rofkahr, Julius Rof-
kahr, John Lachowsky, Andrew Hudson, Nathan Hudson, Patrick Hudson, Norbert Lachowsky, Michael Pledger, and Jeremy Pledger.

James R. Sweeney, 85, of Hartman died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired dairyman and farmer, son of the late Berton and Edith Crinlaw Sweeney, and a former resident of northern New York state.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Sweeney; two daughters, Edith Bruce of Staten Island, N. Y., and Ellen Peck of Alexandria, N. Y.; two sons, Bernard Sweeney of Croghan, N. Y., and James Westford of New York; two stepchildren, Marian Gerrard of Black River, N. Y., and Rosalie Colley of Hartman; three sisters, Elizabeth Ryan and Helen Winch, both of Saranac Lake, N. Y., and Dorothy Villa of Glen Falls, N. Y.; and eight grandchildren including James E. Sweeney of Sherwood and Anthony Turturro of Hartman.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Sweeney Memory Fund at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Laurie Leigh Mitchell Wilson, 28, of Fort Hood, Texas, died Sunday, March 12, 2000.

She was a graduate of Harlingen (Texas) High School, served a two-year term in the U. S. Army, was employed as a registered nurse at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, and was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, D. W. Daniel of Clarksville, and paternal grandmother, Nelly Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, Mark C. Wilson; two daughters, Nicole D. Wilson and Brandy T. Wilson; father, Billy T. Mitchell of Harlingen, Texas; mother, Pamela Mitchell Burns of Brownsville, Texas, formerly of Clarksville; one brother, Trey Mitchell of Harlingen, Texas; and maternal grandmother, Lisa Fivecoat Maxfield of Altus.

Funeral was at the First Presbyterian Church in Harlingen, Texas, with burial at Mt. Mida Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.

Pallbearers were Trey Mitchell, Paul Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Dennis Daniel, Michael Snyder, and Todd Roberts.

Mrs. Rea Patterson Kendall, 88, of Clarksville died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at her home.

She was a native of the Hudson Springs Community, daughter of the late Alfred Monroe and Nellie Hudson Patterson, widow of Burrow Kendall, 1930 graduate of Clarksville High School, retired government employee having been employed by Farmers Home Administration in Clarksville most of her professional life, and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one nephew, Tom D. Patterson of Dallas, Texas; and numerous cousins in the Clarksville area.

Graveside services and burial were at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Lance Jones officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vivian Alston, 78, of Clarksville died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Little Rock, daughter of the late William Lee and Esther Jones May, widow of Ralph (Sonny) Alston, member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, served in the Women's Air Corps during World War II from 1943-47, was a Girl Scout volunteer, active in the Parent-Teacher Association, and was a former member of the Clarksville Planning and Zoning Commission.

She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Alston of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan E. and Dawn Alston of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; one sister, Thelma Perkins of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren, Matthew Alston and Dalton Alston, both of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Usery officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
