Mrs. Dortha (Aunt Sissy) Duty, 89, of Fort Smith, formerly of Clarksville,
died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late Lum and Mary
Hunnicutt Warren, widow of Wylie Duty, and member of the North Park Baptist
Church in Van Buren.
She is survived by three nephews, Warren Caudle of Van Buren, Archie
Caudle of Fort Smith and Arch Warren Jr. of Oklahoma; two nieces, Nola
Slack of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mary Spankler of Fort Smith; eight great-nieces
and great-nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Donna M. Magee, 60, of Watertown, S. D., died Friday, May 21, 1999,
in Jenkins Living Center.
She was a native of Watertown, S. D., daughter of the late Ivan and
Othillia Schiller Ramynke, graduate of Watertown High School, former nurse's
aide at St. Ann's Hospital and Jenkins Methodist Home, and was preceded
in death by one sister, Marilyn Ramynke.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Magee of Coal Hill; two sons and
one daughter-in-law, Robert and Lovetta Magee of Mountain Home, Idaho,
and William D. Magee of Watertown, S. D.; two daughters and sons-in-law,
Joan and Mac McGlothlin of Coal Hill and Lori and Jerry Pledger of Ozark;
one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Ramynke of Watertown, S. D.;
five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Wake service was held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 24, at Wight and Fox Funeral Chapel in Watertown, S. D. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Wight and Fox Funeral Chapel with Father Roger Geditz officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Watertown, S. D.
David Lee Warren, 55, of Clarksville died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville and former owner-operator of F &
G Trucking Company, Farm and Garden Supply, and Small Engine Repair Service.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Cecil Mills, and grandparents,
Melvil (Blue) and Effie Kerwin.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nona Warren; one daughter and son-in-law,
Deborah Lee and John David Beaupre of Clarksville; mother-in-law, Velta
Mills of Clarksville; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and
Charlsie Butler of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel
with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Funeral services for E. T. Vardaman, 67, of Little Rock, who died Thursday,
May 20, 1999, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, in the chapel of Griffin
Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock with Rev. Don Chancellor officiating.
Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.
Vardaman was in the retail furniture business in Little Rock for many
years and owner of E. T.'s Bail Bonds for the past 16 years.
He was a son of the late Edward Tipton and Celia Lou Vardaman and was
preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Ellis Vardaman; one brother,
Jim Vardaman; two sisters, Lorena Bean and Lois Simms; and one stepdaughter,
Gwen Holland.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Carol Alexander Vardaman; one stepson, Derrick Alexander of Little Rock; one stepdaughter, Tauny Chaffin of Little Rock; two stepsons, Larry Ellis of Little Rock and Jack Ellis of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Lucille Wells Martin of Paris; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Ingeborg Langguth, 72, of Lamar died Thursday, May 20, 1999, at
Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Germany, daughter of the late August Camillo and
Milada Maria Schubert Reinel, member of World Wide Church of God, and was
preceded in death by one son, Ulich Langguth.
Survivors include her husband, Erich Langguth; two sons, Gerhard Langguth
of Russellville and Alfred Langguth of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Margaret
Reinel of Germany; and two grandchildren, Sarah Langguth and Karen Langguth,
both of Pine Bluff.
Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Annie's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. William Condley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Funeral for John Michial Brannen, 51, of Sherwood, who died Wednesday,
May 19, 1999, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, was at 2 p.m. Monday,

Johnnie Edward Riley, 66, of Hartman died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Franklin and Pliney Adkins Riley, native of
Johnson County, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Georgia Steele Riley; one daughter,
Marilyn Sue Morrow of Hornbeck, La.; one son, Johnny Douglas (J. D.) Riley
of Killen, Texas; one sister, Thelma Moore of Cecil; one brother, Alfred
Riley of Van Buren; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial was in Hartman Cemetery.

John L. Zimpel, 80, of Clarksville died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at the
Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
A native of Sterling, Okla., he was a son of the late Joseph M. and
Regina Werner Zimpel, Coast Guard veteran of World War II, member of the
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion
Bunch Walton Post No. 22, graduate of Subiaco Academy, and past president
of Clarksville Rotary Club.
He began selling homemade hot tamales in 1932, and was the owner-operator
of several businesses in Clarksville during the past 45 years including
City Food Shop, Quality Market, Fairway Market, Holiday Lanes, A. G. Food
Market, and Holiday Coin Laundry.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Hedwig Zimpel, and one brother,
Joseph W. Zimpel.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Loretta Zimpel; four daughters, Mrs.
Danny (Mary) Smith of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Albert (Jeanie) Baltz of Fayetteville,
Mrs. Glenn (Margie) Trembley of Omaha, Neb., and Judy Zimpel of Fayetteville;
one son, John B. Zimpel of Mabelvale; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Barry (Debbie)
Park of Clarksville and Donna Davis of Sallisaw, Okla.; one sister, Margaret
Bachner of Clarksville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
and four stepgrandchildren.

Mrs. Lorene M. Laster, 89, of Coal Hill died Friday, May 21, 1999, at
Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, widow of Homer Laster, and
daughter of the late Mitchell and Edna Hurt King.
She is survived by one daughter, Gail Williams of Coal Hill; one son,
James Douthit of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Lisa Sturdivant
of Ozark, Melissa Bramlett of Fort Smith, Robin Hudspeth of Lamar, and
Mark Douthit of Nashville, Tenn.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at the Coal Hill Cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Murl E. Goodin, 82, of Little Rock died Monday, May 17, 1999.
He was a son of the late George and Martha Goodin, World War II veteran
and served in the 84th Infantry, recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple
Heart, member of Toastmasters International and NARFE, and a Baptist.
He retired in 1976 after 37 years of federal service from the Little
Rock District Corps of Engineers where he was selected to be a member of
the Gallery of Distinguished Employees. He also served as a volunteer for
the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Hunter Safety Program for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Hughes Goodin, four brothers
and three sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Lillian Goodin Muldoon of Whittier, Calif.;
one stepsister, Geneva Bell Williamson of Mabelvale; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth in Little Rock with burial in Rest Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Martha (Jettie) Jannette Scroggins, 87, died in a Lawton (Oklahoma)
nursing home.
She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late Robert Lee
and Rachel D. Parker Riley, widow of Jeff Scroggins, a Baptist, 15-year
employee of Greswald Cleaners, and was preceded in death by one daughter,
Betty Lou Delaney; granddaughter, Kelley Diane Newson; two sisters, Lizabeth
Crooks and Letha Mae Dunn Davis; and two brothers, Marvin Esther Riley
and William E. (Bill) Riley.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Anna Nelsen of Lawton, Okla.; one
son, Mickie Scroggins of Clinton, Okla.; one sister, Alpha Hyder of Hartman;
11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. May 6 at Highland Cemetery with Rev. David Gordon officiating.
Mrs. Neita Jo Isenhart, 67, of Hartman died Thursday, May 20, 1999,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a Baptist, retired beautician, daughter of the late John Wiley
and Hattie Carlislie Roberts, and preceded in death by one sister, Marie
McAnally, and two brothers, Jasper Dewey Roberts and Heartsille Ragon Roberts.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Isenhart; one daughter, Karen Jo
Hall of Republic, Mo.; four sisters, Mabel Ashlock, Gussie Yasevich, and
Jonnie Teltow, all of Clarksville, and Faye Sisk of Lamar; and two grandchildren,
Steven Hall of Hartman and Angie Hall of Coal Hill.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, May 24, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Ken Ashlock officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Onnie M. Miracle, 86, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 23, 1999,
at her home.
She was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church, widow of Walter I.
Miracle, and daughter of the late Charles W. and Ellen Hudson Hartlein.
She is survived by two daughters, Eldarene Sexton and Murieta Rogers,
both of Clarksville; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at the First Landmark Baptist
Church with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
