Harold C. Abner, 77, of Fort Smith, father of Michael Lee Abner of Clarksville,
died Saturday, April 17, 1999.
He was a retired sergeant first class in the Army and a veteran of World
War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War, retired Whirlpool Corporation employee,
and a member of Four Square Gospel Church in Springfield, Ill.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Patricia A. Abner; one daughter, Yvonne
Tracy McDonald of Van Buren; one other son, Mark Alan Abner of Fort Smith;
three sisters, Mildred Wilson of Buffalo, Ill., and Betty Bailey and Helen
Abner, both of Springfield, Ill.; one brother, William of Springfield,
Ill.; four grandchildren, Jeremy Abner, Justin McDonald, Carl Ryan Abner,
and Devry McDonald; and several aunts and nieces.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the
U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors. Arrangements
were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Hugo W. Drittler, 92, of Archbold, Ohio, died April 10, 1999, at the
Toledo (Ohio) Hospital.
He was a native of Lutherville, son of the late Fred and Lena Giesler
Drittler, and was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Bundy Drittler,
three brothers, Emil Drittler, Frank Drittler, and Ernest Drittler, and
three sisters, Helen Drittler, Ella Drittler, and Rose Knoernschild.
Survivors include three brothers, Walter Drittler of Archbold, Ohio,
Martin Drittler of Russellville, and Reinhold Drittler of Springdale; and
two sisters, Alma Sohl of Springdale and Kathryn Lohse of Archbold, Ohio.
Funeral was on Tuesday, April 13, at St. John Lutheran Church in
Stryker, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hour or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Jimmy Ray Massey, 59, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 15, 1999,
at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a retired truck driver, member of the Assembly of God Church,
and son of the late Vernon Massey.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Ellison Massey; five daughters,
Bonnie Johnson of Hartman, and Tammy Parker, Rhonda Massey, Sandra Massey,
and Jimmy Dayton, all of Clarksville; two sons, James Massey and John Massey,
both of the home; mother, Floy Massey of Clarksville; five sisters, Vela
Tudor of Ponca City, Okla., Faye King of Lamar, Rita Massey and Brenda
Massey, both of Clarksville, and Wanda Weathers of Hartman; one brother,
Lonnie Massey of Ponca City, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steven Johnson, Tim King, Barry Pelts, Kevin
Massey, Keith Massey, and Tim Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers were James Parker, Wayne Hale, Dub Vaught, and John Nowotny.
Mrs. Lena Alberta Magee, 95, of Coal Hill died Saturday, April 17, 1999,
at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Belle County, Texas, daughter of the late William
Washington and Lena Anola Norman Valliant, widow of Arthur James Magee
Jr., and member of the Coal Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Martha Yates of Coal Hill, Helen
Aiken of Baltimore, Md., Nell Ives of Kiowa, Kan., and Penny Van Houten
of Huntingtown, Md.; one son, James Kenneth Magee of Goshen, N. Y.; two
brothers, Harold Valliant of Hamlin, Texas, and D. L. Valliant of Rogers;
14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at the Coal Hill Baptist
Church with Rev. David Qualls officiating.
Burial was in Coal Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral
Home.

Mrs. May Fuller, 87, of El Dorado, Kan., mother of Robert Fuller of
Clarksville, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in El Dorado, Kan.
Funeral and burial were in El Dorado, Kan.
Mrs. Mary Alice Sullivan Stewart, 69, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, April
14, 1999, at her home.
She was a member of Ferguson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Coal Hill,
20 years service with the U. S. Weather Bureau, daughter of the late Frank
Miller, widow of Earl Hardy Sullivan, and retired owner of Sullivan Supply
Company.
Survivors include her husband, George Stewart; three daughters and sons-in-law,
Lucinda and Tommy Warren of Hartman, Charlotte and Don Robert Hurst Jr.
of Coal Hill, and Karla Wood and Randall Wood of Coal Hill; three stepsons,
Tom Stewart, Greg Stewart, and Richard Stewart, all of Clarksville; four
stepdaughters, Sharon Nichols and Karin Rhine, both of Clarksville, Becky
Davis of Fort Smith, and Dana Hyde of Mountain Home, Idaho; mother, Mrs.
Georgia Thomas Miller of Altus; one sister, Susan Miller Lowe of Muskogee,
Okla.; two brothers, Jack Miller of Altus and Bob Miller of Fort Smith;
five grandchildren, Dax Warren of Houston, Texas, Christie Warren of Fayetteville,
and Amber Hurst, R. J. Wood, and Clint Wood, all of Coal Hill; one great-grandchild,

in Ozark with Rev. John Kindrix and James Hurst officiating. Burial was
in Coal Hill Cemetery.

Rex O. Haviland, 82, of Lamar died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Johnson
Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Michigan, son of the late Charles Benjamin and Emma
C. Barnhouse Haviland, and attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eva Haviland; two daughters, Emma
Searight of Lamar and Beverly (Babe) Mooney of Clarksville; two sons, Charles
Haviland of Long, Okla., and Louis Haviland of Lamar; seven grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, at Lamar
Cemetery with Rev. Edna Burnett officiating. Arrangements were under the
direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Logan Reid Wilson, infant son of Travis and Crissy Wilson of Clarksville,
died Monday, April 19, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Other survivors are grandparents, Bobby and Kay Wilson of Clarksville,
Janie Perren of Lawton, Okla., and Johnny Perren of Hattiesburg, Miss.;
great-grandparents, Junior and Rae Moore of Clarksville, Buddy and Dessie
Perren of Lamar and the late Amy Stackhouse; one aunt, Precious Perren
of Lawton, Okla.; and two uncles, Jason Perren of Lawton, Okla., and Todd
Wilson of Clarksville.

Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.

James William Arbuckle, 84, of Hartman died Thursday, April 15, 1999,
in Fort Smith.
He was a member of Springs of Living Water Church in Ozark, retired
heavy equipment operator and coal miner, and was preceded in death by his
wife, Mrs. Lucille Perry Arbuckle, and child, Darling Arbuckle.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Pullen of Ozark, Bobbie Watson
of Hartman, and Phyllis Tebbetts of Bryant; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;
and six great-great-granchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel
in Ozark with burial in Houston Cemetery at Alix.
Pallbearers were Noel Red Self, Jimmy Flenner, Mike Reeves, Ronnie Perry, Thomas Hobbs, and William Pullen.
