Bill McDaniel
Bill McDaniel, 61, of Clarksville
died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville,
graduate of Clarksville High School, attended Arkansas Tech University
in Russellville for two years, retired plumber and electrician, and
preceded in death by his wife, Janice McDaniel; one grandson, Malachai
McDaniel; and father, Charlie McDaniel.
He is survived by one daughter,
Susan Trujillo of Clarksville; one son, Brandon McDaniel and
daughter-in-law, Kacey Whorton, of the Flat Rock Community; mother, Sue
McDaniel of Clarksville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday,
June 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Self
officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Gilbert,
Lonnie Gilbert, Wayne Styles, John Belcher, Rick Ward, and Coy Hammons.
Bobbie Jean Dyer
Graveside services and burial for
Bobbie Jean Valentine Dyer, 50, of Knoxville, Tenn., who died
Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in Knoxville, Tenn., were at 1 p.m. Saturday,
June 26, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was a former resident of
Clarksville, daughter of the late Carroll Dean and JoAnn Lemley
Valentine and granddaughter of the late W.T. and Irene Price Volentine
and the late Rufe and Bobbie Condren Lemley.
Survivors include two daughters,
Patti Dyer and Carole Dyer of Knoxville, Tenn.; one son, Dillan Dyer of
Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Freels and husband, Clay, of
Rockwood, Tenn.; one brother, Joe Valentine and wife, Marjorie, of
Kingsport, Tenn.; one nephew, Hayden Freels of Rockwood, Tenn.; and two
nieces, Samantha and Katelyn Freels of Rockwood, Tenn.
Caroline Ralls
Caroline Ralls, 77, of Vandervoort,
mother of Rusty Ralls of Clarksville, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at
De Queen.
She was a native of New York,
daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Lucia Clukey, and a retired
employee of International Paper Company in New Boston, Texas.
Survivors include three daughters,
Penny Stultz and husband, Jeffery, of Buckner, Annie Fahrni and
husband, Chris, of Texarkana, Texas, and Renee Marry and husband,
Thomas, of Fort Smith; and one other son, Mickey Ralls and wife,
Kathey, of Fouke.
Graveside services and burial were
at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the
direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Pallbearers were Bruce Cureton,
Jason Randall, Coy Randall, and Jerry Scott.
Edith Vire Yates
Edith Vire Yates, 91, of Clarksville
died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was born at Patterson Springs,
daughter of the late Margret Campbell and R.D. Vire, widow of Mack
Yates, member of Woodland Baptist Church, and retired Clarksville
Footwear employee.
She is survived by four daughters,
LaVella Yates Hale and husband, James, of Russellville, Wanda Yates
Roberts and husband, Bruce, of Euless, Texas, Marcella Yates Langley of
Piggott, and Glenda Yates Zeiler and husband, James Lee, of
Clarksville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday,
June 24, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Milam officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Cemetery
under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kyle Johnson,
Blue-Mack Zeiler, Bryce Parrish, Brian Rider, Jared Langley, Lance
Langley, and Dustin Zeiler.

Glenn E. Rainey
Glenn E. Rainey, 92, of Knoxville
died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in
Russellville.
He was a native of Sikeston, Mo.,
son of the late Ernest and Ruth Rainey, worked in CC's, served in the
U.S. Navy during World War II, married Laura Brookshire in Adona, and
later moved to Knoxville in the 1930s. He was preceded in death by one
son, Fred Rainey; two brothers, Harold Rainey of Pine Bluff and Jeff
Rainey of Ola; and three sisters, Mae Campbell of Knoxville, Ruth
Shimmels of Chicago, Ill., and Maxine Guist of Centerville.
Survivors include six children,
Betty Spears, James Rainey, Glinda Siber, Linda Akins, Sue Bryan, and
Robert Rainey; one brother, Erwin Rainey of Ola; two sisters, Charline
Schooles of Centerville and Imogene West of Russellville; 19
grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Friday,
June 25, at the First Baptist Church in Knoxville with Rev. Don R.
Hankins and Rev. Richard Snyder officiating.
Burial, along with military honors,
was in Knoxville Cemetery under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home
of Dardanelle.
Active pallbearers were John Bryan,
Nick Bryan, Chad Bryan, Gregg Rainey, Kirk Siber, Jacob Rainey, Dustin
Rainey, and Gene Earnest Rainey.
Honorary pallbearers were John Tyson
and Tim Storms.
Ray Owen Almgren
Ray Owen Almgren, 82, of Ozone died
Thursday, June 24, 2010, at his home.
He was a Navy veteran, Mason, son of
the late Louis E. and Kathleen O'Brien Almgren, retired, and preceded
in death by his wife, Eleanor M. Stienberg Almgren; and two sisters,
Elaine Almgren and Kathleen Salihi.
He is survived by one son, Michael
Almgren of Geneva, Ill.; one brother, Louis Almgren of Ozone; and two
grandchildren, Erik Almgren of Elgin, Ill., and Alison Almgren of
Buffalo, Ill.
Funeral was at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June
29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Vaughn officiating.
The body will be cremated.
Rena Hardgrave
Georgia Orene (Rena) Hardgrave of
Clarksville died peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 27, 2010.
She was a native of Johnson County,
the daughter of Hurley and Christine Blackard of Stone Hill. Primarily
a stay-at-home wife and mother, she took great joy in her family
including members of her extended family. She could always be relied
upon to assist her brothers, her sister, and nieces and nephews too
numerous to count. As the ultimate mom, one of her lasting legacies was
her willingness to haul kids to ball games and other events, never
minding how noisy they were. She worked with her husband in several
businesses through the years, including a time as office manager for
United Trading Stamp Company in Mayfield, Ky.
Rena was preceded in death by Ferrel
Hardgrave, her husband of 47 years, and by 11 brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one son, Gerald (Doug) and wife, Jan, of Alpharetta,
Ga., and by one daughter, Barbara Hardgrave of New Paltz, N.Y.; one
grandson, Sean and wife, Krista, and their daughters, Korilyn and
Katheryn; and by one granddaughter, Christa Cavan, her husband,
Russell, and their son, Kai, and daughter, Malia.
Funeral services will be held at the
First United Methodist Church in Clarksville at 2:00 p.m. Thursday,
July 1, with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating. The funeral will be
preceded by visitation at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville from 6
p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30. Interment will be at Oakland
Cemetery in Clarksville immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be Michael Higgs,
John Higgs, Bob Blackard, C.O. Blackard, Ronnie Hodges, and Donald
Blackard.

Richard G. Fetters, 82, of Alma,
father of Peggy Rofkahr of Hartman, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at his
home.
He was a veteran of the United
States Air Force and owner and mechanic of Fetters and Wofford Service
Station in Fort Smith.
He is survived by one other
daughter, Pam Taylor of Alma; one sister, Hazel James of Van Buren;
four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three
stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
June 24, at Ocker-Putnam Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at the
U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.

Graveside services and burial for
Jacki Bordenet Thompson, 58, of Paris, who died Friday, June 25, 2010,
at her home, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at the Spadra
Cemetery near Clarksville under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of
Paris.
She was a native of Little Rock,
daughter of the late Raymond and Rose Mary Coffee Bordenet, seamstress,
and member of First Assembly of God Church in Paris.
Survivors are two sons, Ryan Tanner
of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joe Thompson of Paris; five
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
