Faye L. Schubarth
Graveside services and burial for
Faye LoRee Schubarth, 83, of Huntsville, who died Wednesday, Sept. 30,
2009, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville, were held at 2
p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Oark Cemetery with President Michael
Weichersheimer officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of
Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Pallbearers were Charles Raymond
Schubarth, Seth William Schubarth, Michael Watt, Stanley Edgmon, Eddie
Skaggs, and Raymond Neal Baker.
She was a native of Russell Springs,
Kan., daughter of the late Coy Russell and Martha Blau Baker, widow of
Henry Raymond Schubarth, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints of the Huntsville Branch, former Sunday school
teacher, genealogy assistant, former resident of Colorado, and was
preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Coolidge; and three infant
sisters, Bernice Baker, Rose Baker, and Anna Baker.
Survivors include three sons and
daughters-in-law, Charles Russell and Tammie Schubarth of Ozark, Clyde
Stanley and Linda Schubarth of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Coy Harold
and Sylvia Schubarth of Bridge City, Texas; two brothers, Coy R. (Bud)
Baker Jr. of Oark; and Elbert C. Baker of West Fork; one sister,
Jeanette Pellham of Pelsor; and several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lester Holt
Lester Holt, 91, of Russellville
died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Atkins.
He was a native of Hartman, son of
the late Luther and Rosey Holt, retired farmer, World War II Army
veteran, of the Assembly of God faith, and was preceded in death by his
wife, Nora Belle Armstrong Holt; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth
Holt;
two sisters, Imogene Dickerson and Earma Grady; two brothers, Raymond
Holt and Clarence Holt; two grandchildren, Ragan Norris and Bradley
Allen Boerner; and one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Nicole Norris.
Survivors include four daughters,
Pauline Cross, Esther Bewley and Rosalia Holt, all of Dardanelle, and
Brenda Norris of Russellville; four sons, Lester Lavern Holt and
John
Allen Holt, both of Russellville, Tim W. Holt of Clarksville, and Steve
D. Holt of Dover; one sister, Irene Poyner of California; 26
grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct.
2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger
officiating. Burial was in Lamar Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lester Lavern Holt,
Tim W. Holt, John Allen Holt, Steve D. Holt, Harold Dickerson, and
Grady Bewley.
Marion W. Robinson
Marion Wesley Robinson, 66, of
Clarksville died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical
Center.
He was born in Clarksville, son of
the late John Wesley and Hazel Chesser Robinson, retired contractor,
and Navy veteran.
He is survived by two daughters,
Juanita Rosel of Knoxville and Johnna Boone of Clarksville; one son,
John Wesley Robinson of Hartman; two sisters, Susie Monk of
Bakersfield, Calif., and Elsie Collins of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother,
Edward Hignite of Clarksville; five grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
Oct. 7, at Lamar Baptist Church with Rev. John Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery
under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Geneva J. Alderson
Geneva Jane Harris Alderson, 92,
died July 25, 2009, in Whittier, Calif.
She was a native of Dale, daughter
of the late Ernest and Dora Jane Tate Harris, widow of Orville A.
Alderson, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda E. Alderson;
two brothers, Roy Harris and Claud Harris; and two sisters, Hazel Sams
and Penatha Hicks Dennis.
She is survived by one son, Orville
Wayne Alderson of La Mirada, Calif.; two daughters, Wilma Dean Buege of
Covina, Calif., and Donna Sue West of Mira Loma, Calif.; 11
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Harris and
Verlon Harris; one sister, Dorothy Nnuckles; two sisters-in-law, Mae
Evelyn Harris and Robbie Harris; son-in-law, James West;
daughter-in-law, Dorothy Alderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Bracie Irene Jones
Bracie Irene Brewer Jones, 83, of
Laurel, MS, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday,
October 3, 2009. She was born on December 26, 1925 in Greene County,
MS, the fourth of 10 children. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Walter and Ida Mae (Gordon) Brewer of Richton, MS. Her church
home was Plainway Baptist Church in Laurel, MS where she served in the
music ministry in her earlier years. She was a bookkeeper and worked in
accounting for Blue's Furniture Store, Laurel County Club and Watts and
Maulden Auto Shop all in Laurel. Prior to that, she worked at Bay
Springs Blanket Factory in Bay Springs, MS and Evan's Grocery in Laurel.
She is survived by two sons, Lamar
Dale Jones of Lakewood, CO and Lewis Alan Jones of Hagarville, AR, one
daughter-in-law, Judy Jones of Hagarville, six grandchildren, Joel
Jones, Kyle Jones now serving in Afghanstan, of Laurel, Amanda Semko
and husband Matt of Sevierville, TN, Jennifer Armentrout and husband
Darrell of Cypress, TX, Geremy Walter Jones of Flowood, MS, and Patrick
Alan Jones of Hagarville, AR; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Lane of
Mendenhall, MS, Matthew Tomshee, David Tomshee, Delaney Armentrout, and
Koen Armentrout of Cypress, TX, and Wyatt Semko of Sevierville, TN.
Remaining survivors include
three
brothers, Tellie Everett Brewer, Esra Shelton Brewer and Walter Rayborn
Brewer of Richton, MS; six sisters, Melba Manning, Winnie Mae Dykes,
and Patsye Ruth Wells of Richton, Myrtice Relda Gatlin of Ft. Worth,
TX, Thelma Jean Watts of Semmes, AL and Dorothy Rae (Dottie) Crawford
of Waxahachie, TX, sisters-in-law Tressie Brewer, Nelda Brewer and Jan
Brewer of Richton, three brothers-in-law, James H. Manning of Richton,
James Rudolph (Rudy) Watts of Semmes, AL, and William A. (Bill)
Crawford of Waxahachie, TX, 16 nieces and nephews, 22
great-nieces and
nephews and a host of friends and loved one.
Her celebration of life will be
conducted at Jones Funeral Home in Richton, MS. Visitation will be on
Wednesday, October 7 from 5:30-9:00p.m. Services will be held on
Thursday, October 8, at 10:00 A.M. with Kenneth Williams and Pastor
Nonnie Jeffcoat officiating. Burial will be in the Greene County Union
Cemetery at Richton, MS following the service.
Pallbearers are Geremy Walter Jones,
Joel Kevin Jones, Russell Dale Dykes, Bill Crawford, Matt Semko, and
Kenneth Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the American Cancer Society or Gideons International.

funeral Home of Richton, MS.
