Billy Ray Anderson
Billy Ray Anderson, 71, of Dover,
father of Monica Cameron of Clarksville, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was a native of
Russellville, son of the late Leonard and Eathel Williams Anderson, and
was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 28
years, Pauline Anderson; one other daughter, Renee Nelson and husband,
Eddie, of Dover; one son, Billy B. Anderson and wife, Kim, of Dover;
four grandsons, William Brian Anderson and wife Jill, Zachary Lee
Anderson, Bradley Wayne Nelson and Justin Wade Anderson; four
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Bramblett and Jackie May; and
one brother, Havis Anderson.
Arrangements were under the
direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.
Gary Bailey
Gary W. Bailey, 62, of Russellville,
whose son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Amanda Bailey, reside in
Clarksville, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Regional
Medical Center in Russellville.
He was a son of the late W.T. and
Luveda Carrington Bailey, native of Hollywood, Mo., employee of Saint
Mary's Regional Medical Center, member of the Baptist faith, and was
preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Bailey Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 42
years, Marie Bailey; two other sons and daughters-in-law, Doug
and Melissa Bailey of Richmond, Maine, and Tim and Jessica Bailey of
Russellville; eight grandchildren, Gary III, Tyler, Andrew, Andrea,
Olivia, Connor and Kevin II; and six siblings, Bobby Dale Bailey, Mary
Louise Henson, Edna Ruth Accord, Charles Bailey, Kathleen Bailey, and
Nancye Wilkins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday,
July 29, at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ron Kauffman
officiating. Burial was at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville.
Henry Duvall
Henry Ellis Duvall, 41, of
Russellville died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, from injuries sustained in an
18-wheeler accident in Cleburne County approximately six miles west of
Pangburn.
He was a native of in Dardanelle,
truck driver for Arkansas Energy Services, and was preceded in death by
his father, Thomas Lee Duvall; and grandparents, T. F. and Ora Duvall,
and Henry and Johnnie Proctor.
Survivors include two children,
Kristina Duvall and Kendall Duvall of Knoxville; foster son, Thomas
Norman of Kansas; mother and stepfather, Nettie Azile and Henry Clark
of Pelsor; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ed and Julia Duvall of
Russellville, Wayne and Mona Duvall and Andy Duvall, all of Pelsor and
Larry Segur of Clarksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m., Friday, July
31, at Round Rock Community Church with Rev. J. C. Kinder and Rev.
Charles Hefley officiating.
Burial was at Goates Cemetery
under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Chris Duvall,
Michael Duvall, Dustin Duvall, Dalton Duvall, Lonnie Kinder and John
Reams.
J. T. Collins
J. T. Collins, 77, of Springdale,
formerly of Clarksville, died Monday, July 27, 2009, in Springdale.
He was a native of Friendship, son
of the late James Tandy and Helen Ross Collins, employee of Ouachita
Marine, and was of Southern Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by
one granddaughter, Amanda Collins; and one brother, James Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Mae
Collins; two sons, James Troy Collins and wife, Ann, of Clarkedale and
Robert Tandy Collins and wife, Leslie, of Lowell; one daughter, Brenda
Reynolds and husband, Dwain, of Ozark; two brothers, Edgar Collins of
Arkadelphia and Truman Collins of Curtis; five sisters, Bernice
Glasscock of Benton, Carolyn Carter of Searcy, Corrine Clay of Hot
Springs, and Jean Parker and Linda Dugan, both of Keo; and four
grandchildren, Jeremy, Tiffany, Tyler and Victoria Collins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug.
1, in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev.
Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Murch, Matthew Murch, Scott Dean, David Collins, Edgar Collins Jr., and
Phillip Carter.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeff and
Steve Milner and Brandon Reynolds.
Mazelle Green
Mazelle Green, 62, of Clarksville
died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at her home.
She was a native of Blytheville,
daughter of the late Samuel Allen and Jeffie Ernestine Williams McRae,
member of Stillwell Baptist Church, and a 17-year employee of Wal-Mart.
Survivors include her husband of 46
years, Ray Green; two sons, Scott Green and wife, Susie, and Brent
Green, all of Knoxville; one brother, Allen Harold McRae of Osceola;
and two grandchildren, Elijah Green of Knoxville and Carson Green of
Russellville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, July
30, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Goodman
officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Sean West,
David Hawkins, Steve Woodard, J. T. Woodard, John Daniels and John
Roughley.

Patsy Rains
Patsy Rains, 58, of Clarksville died
Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at her home.
She was born March 17, 1951, in
Belen, N. M.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Raymond A. and Marie M. Shane Jones.
Survivors include her husband,
William E. Rains; two daughters, Sheryl Yates and husband, Kenny, of
Clarksville and Victoria Waldrop and husband, Tim, of Alma; two
sons, Billy Gladwell and wife, Sandy, of Salus and Gary Cornett and
partner, Steve Culley, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Janell Goodman of
Tuscan, Ariz.; two brothers, John L. Jones and wife, Karen, of Miami,
Ariz., and Raymond Jones Jr. and wife, Lorine, of Lamar; four
grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Justin and Austin; and two
great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday,
Aug. 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Carey
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Pete Vorster
Pete Vorster, 55, of Dardanelle,
Arkansas died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at his home in Dardanelle,
Arkansas. He was born September 7, 1953, in Paris, Arkansas to his
parents, William Vorster and Anna (Rotert) Vorster Furstenberg.
He was a member of the Catholic
Knights since 1954 serving on the National Board of Directors. He was a
national board member since July 2005. He previously served as branch
president, treasurer, vice president and secretary as well as president
and treasurer of the Catholic Knights state office. In the community,
he serves as a Eucharistic minister, usher and server for his church.
He also coached his daughter's softball team and is a member of
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas
Society of Certified Public Accountants. He had been employed as an
auditor with the Division of Legislative Audit for the state of
Arkansas for 22 years and is a Certified Public Accountant.
He is preceded in death by his
father, William A. Vorster; one brother, Ben Vorster; and one sister,
Kathy Vorster.
Pete is survived by his wife, Donna
Carol Ragsdale Vorster; a son, William Vorster and a daughter, Laura
Vorster, of the home; mother and stepfather, Anna (Vorster) and Adrian
Furstenberg of Subiaco, AR; one brother, David Vorster of Subiaco; two
sisters, Debra Vorster of Subiaco and Joan Stone and husband, Howard,
of Nashville, Tenn; and numerous other family and friends.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July
31, 2009, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco, AR.
Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
Aug. 1, 2009, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco, AR. The body
will be cremated under the direction of Roller Funeral Home-Paris.

Ernest Lee Caldwell
Ernest Lee Caldwell, 80, of
Clarksville, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical
Center. He was born in Tuttle, Oklahoma on January 26, 1929, to
the late Mary and Marion Caldwell. He grew up in Sanger,
California before moving to Clarksville in 1959. His family
farmed raising cattle and chickens while operating the Gulf Station on
Rogers and Main during the 1960s. Later he ran the Deep Rock and
Gulf Station at exit 55, during the opening of I-40. He also
hauled coal for Peabody Coal Co. before retiring in 1975. He was
a member of the Clarksville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is preceded in his death by two
sisters, Juanita Ray and Katheryn Caldwell; three brothers, Russell,
Wayne, and James Caldwell; and a grandson, Jonathan Caldwell.
He is survived by six sons, Dale
Caldwell and his wife, Anita, of Clarksville, Arkansas Duane Caldwell
and his wife, Cheryl, of Clarksville, Arkansas, Doyle Caldwell and his
wife, Dona, of Sheridan, Arkansas, Darrell Caldwell and his wife,
Anita, of Paris, Tennessee, David Caldwell and his wife, Karen, of
Anderson, South Carolina, and Dean Caldwell of Carthage, Missouri; four
sisters, Pansy Phillips, Iness Wyrick, and Ester Stanley, all of
California, and Margaret Voels of Minnesota; one brother, Donald
Caldwell of Lamar, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen
great grandchildren.
The family received friends at the
funeral home from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009. The funeral
service was at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2009, at the Roller-Cox
Funeral Chapel, in Clarksville, with Carl Holland and Ray Rogers
officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery, in
Clarksville.
Active Pallbearers were sons,
Darrell, Dale, Doyle, David, Duane, and Dean.
Honorary Pallbearers were John West,
Mike Mierop, Sam James, Scotty Bishop, David Handley, Gary Ledford, and
Steve Fetters.
