Arlis Lee Graham
Arlis Lee Graham, 57, of Ozark,
brother of Reba Umholtz of Lamar and Mary Simpson of Mountain Top, died
Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was a native of Mountain Top,
attended Full Gospel Temple Church in Ozark, U. S. Army veteran of the
Vietnam War, held several supervisory positions in northwest Arkansas,
and was preceded in death by his father, Youel Ray Graham; one
grandson, Kirklin Drake; and one brother, Charles D. Graham.
Survivors include one daughter,
Callie Mann of Rogers; one stepson, Matt Rawlins of Bella Vista;
mother, Gracie Marie Bowman Graham Norris of Altus; four other sisters,
Ruth Spicer of Harrison, Frances Hodges of Springdale, Debbie Ellison
of Ozark and Sandy Sullivan of Rudy; two brothers, Bill Graham of Ozark
and Jimmy Graham of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Tanner, Caden,
Maigan, Mason and Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan.
2, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. C. E. Simpson and
Rev. Roger Umholtz officiating. Burial was at Belt Cemetery with
military honors.
Active pallbearers were John
Umholtz, C. W. Simpson II, Mike Hodges, Gary Hodges, Tommy Spicer and
Larry Couch.
Honorary pallbearers were Willie
Jones, Jeremy Jones, Don Farmer and Jimmy Rogers.
Dwain Allen
Dwain Allen, 72, of Marion died
Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was a former Johnson County
deputy sheriff, former Clarksville police officer, former police
officer in Grass Valley, Calif., retired master sergeant with the U. S.
Air Force, retired employee of the state of Arkansas Alcohol and
Beverage Control, former employee of the Arkansas Tobacco Control, and
member of West Memphis First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, LouElla
M. Allen; two sons, Kirk Allen of Penn Valley, Calif., and Mike Allen
of West Memphis; four daughters, Melissa Walters of Cabot, Juaneva
(Poopsy) Wann of Marion, Sheila Milner of Jonesboro, and La Donna
Shadden of Salem, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan.
12, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with entombment in
Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Jane D. Wall
Jane Douglass Wall, 85, of Fort
Smith, formerly of Coal Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, in Little
Rock.
She was a daughter of the late Hoyt
and Bettie Senter Douglass, widow of Lee L. Wall, graduate of Coal Hill
High School, member of Ferguson Memorial Presbyterian Church, former
employee of Acme Industrial Laundry in Fort Smith for many years and
was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Douglass Wall.
She is survived by one daughter,
Mary Nell Donoho and husband, Tommy Jr., of Little Rock; one
grandchild, Tommy Donoho III of Kansas City, Mo.; and several cousins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan.
10, at Ferguson Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob King
officiating.
Burial was in Coal Hill Cemetery
under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
R.L. Jackson
Robert Linden “R. L.” Jackson, 92,
of Humphrey, father of Rev. Robbie Jackson of Clarksville, died Friday,
Jan. 9, 2009, at Crestpark Convalescent Home in Stuttgart.
He was a native of England, Navy
veteran of World War II, having served on the U.S.S. Dickens in the
Southern Pacific, farmer, former alderman for the city of Humphrey, and
a member and deacon of the Humphrey Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his wife,
Margarette Krisell Jackson; one daughter, Janice Ray and husband,
Thornton, of El Dorado; four grandsons, David, Bruce and Sidney Jones
of El Dorado, and Joe Ray of Arkadelphia; 12 great-grandchildren; and
two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 12, at Humphrey Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson
and Rev. Luke Criswell officiating. Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery at
Stuttgart.
