Alma Joann Junyor, 67, of Dardanelle, sister of Mary Junyor of Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008.

She was a native of Black Oak, daughter of the late Robert Benjamin and Alma Matie Morton Junyor, member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Theodore Edwards Jr.; and three brothers, Edward Lee Junyor, Erman Junyor and Ronnie Junyor.

Other survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Teresa Duncan, Roberta and Robert Taylor, and Terrie and Steve McCage, all of Dardanelle; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ted Edwards of Dardanelle, and Tim and Cindy Edwards of Taft, Calif.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Elbert and Alice Junyor of Jonesboro, and Harold Junyor of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister-in-law, Barbara Junyor of Caraway; grandchildren, Tracy Duncan of Van Buren, Chance Duncan, Kristen McCage and Hali Poplin of Dardanelle, Jennifer Taylor-Madeiros and Candice Taylor of Fayetteville, Danny Taylor of Sheridan, Michael and Ellen Edwards of Chicago, Ill., and Christopher Edwards of Dardanelle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Veterans Park. Cremation arrangements were by Cornwell Funeral Home.

Doris McKiearnan, 92, of Russellville, formerly of Clarksville, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

A native of Arthur, Ill., she was a daughter of the late James and Myrtle Williams, widow of Albert L. McKiearnan, former resident of Eureka Springs, and member of Russellville First Baptist Church.

During World War II, she was a welder at the Douglas Aircraft Plant in Long Beach, Calif., former teletype operator for Western Union, manager of a number of hotels in Southern California, and was a Civil Service employee at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard prior to retiring in 1964. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Rice and Evelyn Pedigo.

Survivors include one niece, Beverly Rocovitz; and one nephew, Jerry Pedigo and wife, Skip, of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Stephen Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.

Elva June Hampton, 67, of Mountainburg, whose son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Katie Hampton, reside in Clarksville, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Van Buren.

She was a native of Commerce, Texas, daughter of the late Floyd Richard and Elva Josephine Hamblet Richard, former resident of Paris where she was employed by the Paris School District, retired poultry producer, broiler house owner and operator for many years, member of the Corley Community Extension Homemakers Club, and a beautician for several years.

She is survived by two other sons and daughters-in-law, Thad and Lisa Hampton of Paris and Eric and Beth Hampton of Russellville; two brothers, Charles Fagan of Irving, Texas, and Jimmy Richard-Henderson of Las Vegas, Nev.; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the First Baptist Church in Paris followed by burial in Baxley Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.

Pallbearers were Jim Gray, Paul Grissom, Clark Reames, Kevin Berry, Charley Hampton, and Sam Delisle.

Helen Marie Miller, 90, of Atkins, grandmother of Brian Miller of Clarksville, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a native of Hot Springs, daughter of the late C. C. and Sally Elizebeth Murphy Robertson, and widow of Clell Miller.

Survivors include one son, Carl Miller of Atkins; one daughter, Virginia Miller; two other grandchildren, Jason Miller of Russellville and Christopher Miller of Morrilton; and one sister, Grace Aldridge of Oklahoma.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Atkins City Cemetery with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service.

Jewell Wanda Stewart, 85, of Ozone died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Chaney Belle Cowan Arbaugh, widow of Garland Lee Stewart, member of Foothills Tabernacle, and was preceded in death by one son, Garland Dean Stewart; three sisters, Elvie Cowan, Opal Stepp, and Lola Mayer; and four brothers, Buddy Arbaugh, Dean Arbaugh, Hoyt Arbaugh, and Alvin Arbaugh.

She is survived by one son, Perry Dane Stewart of Salus; one sister, Marie Kimbriel of Oark; one brother, Dane Arbaugh of Hartman; four grandchildren, April Roper, David Stewart, Tammy Jo Stewart, and Terry Stewart; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Buckhorn Cemetery near Fallsville with Rev. Clayton Rylee officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Terry Mooney, William Laming, Dolen Stepp, Ronnie Stepp, Robert Hull, Glen (Dito) Stepp, Glen (Dito) Stepp Jr., Michael Stepp, and Alan Stepp.

Steve M. Patterson, 45, of London died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at his home.

He was a native of Russellville, son of the late John Henry and Mary Jane Phariss Patterson, former employee of Tyson Foods, and a member of the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Patterson; three brothers, John W. Patterson of Alvin, Texas, David Patterson and wife, Debbie, of La Porte, Texas, and James Patterson and wife, Terisa, of Dover; one sister, Rebecca Higgs and husband, Derek, of London; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Arnold Humphrey officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at London under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Raymond A. Jones, 91, of Clarksville went home to be with the Lord onWednesday, Sept. 24, 2008.

He was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Kenton, Okla., son of the late John Lewis and Betty Lorine Hunt Jones, retired railroad employee, member of the Clarksville First Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Marie M. Shane Jones; and one brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Lois Jones.

He is survived by three daughters, Janell Goodman of Tucson, Ariz., and Patsy Rains and husband, Bill, and Sheryl Yates and husband, Kenny, all of Clarksville; two sons, John Lewis and wife, Karen, of Miami, Ariz., and Raymond Jones Jr. and wife, Lorine, of Lamar; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cameron officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Danny Jones, Cecil Wicker, Jimmy Jones, Gary Cornett, Tim Waldrop, and Justin Waldrop.

Ghaski Imogine "Gene" Crockett was the daughter of William Thomas and Eva Ethel Goodman. Eva Ethel's maiden name was Yoakum. He was a section foreman for the Frisco Line in Poteau for 15 years. They had four girls, a son and a stepson. One daughter, Ina Lee, died very young. Their son was Ival Richard Goodman, famous baseball player. Ival played for the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and also the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. He also has a ball park named after him in Poteau, Oklahoma. He had one son and two daughters; Ival Jr., Carol and Janet. Alpha Omega had two sons and two daughters, Jerry Lee, Richard, Barbara Sue and Eugenia Sue. Ella Mae had two daughters and one son, Jean Anne, Pamela Joe and Mark.

Imogine "Gene" married John Burton Crockett Jr. on November 18, 1947. They had two sons, John Alan and David Lynn. John Alan married Natalie Frazier. They reside in Austin, Texas. Their family includes one stepson, Harley Adams and one son and one daughter, Christopher and Krystal. David of Clarksville has not married.

Imogine attended schools in Poteau, Earlsboro and graduated high school in Shawnee. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University and was very interested in art. She enterted two national art contests. For one she received a letter of friendship from a young man in Rio de Janeiro. During the war she worked for Douglas at Midwest City.

John and "Gene" moved to Clarksville and opened the Roadrunner service station in 1979.

She was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church and the Willing Helper's Sunday school class and the widow of John Burton Crockett Jr.

Crockett, 87, of Knoxville died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 12, 1922, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and has one sister, Ella Mae Plowman of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandchildren

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Cherry Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Len Dollar, “The Singing Salesman”, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the age of 83.  He was born on Sunday, August 16, 1925, at Crow Mountain, Arkansas, to the late James Porter and Walsie (Bridges) Dollar.  He was the founder of Sherwood Auto Sales, INC., in 1977.  He was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.  He was an honorary Colonel in Tennessee, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Colorado and Nebraska, a lifetime member of the Reunion of Professional Entertainers, the American Legion, the VFW, and was a World War II veteran.

Len leaves behind his wife, Mary (Self) Dollar; two daughters, Mary Ann Dawes and her husband, Merle, of Lakewood, Colorado and Brenda Kay Lackey and her husband, Phillip III, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three sons, John W. Dollar and his wife, Kelly, Ronnie Lynn Dollar, and Stephen Craig Dollar, all of Clarksville, Arkansas; two sisters, Ruby Dollar of Eureka, California and Dorothy Dollar of Broomfield, Colorado; twenty grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

Len is preceded in his death by his parents, James Porter and Walsie (Bridges) Dollar and one son, David Michael Dollar.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2008.  The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2008, at the Clarksville First Baptist Church, with Reverend Burnett King officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Casket Bearers will be Jimmy Dollar, Michael Dollar, Cody Dollar, Clay Dollar, Joshua Dollar, and David Dollar.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Billy Helms, Mike Jacobs, C.O. Blackard, Pat Blackard, James Hefley, Merle Davis, and Phillip Lackey III.
