Arch Griffin Sr.
Herbert Arch Griffin Sr., 93, of
Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Clarksville, died Saturday, March 1, 2008,
at Spring Gate Nursing Home in Memphis, Tenn.
He was a son of the late Thomas
Henry and Ruby Lillian Harvey Griffin, retired saw mill employee, and
was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Lee Clark Griffin.
Survivors include one daughter,
Penny Sue Griffin Henson of Deer Park, Texas; one son, Herbert Arch
Griffin Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Edith Pauline Parks of
Puxico, Mo., and Wanda Anijean Sanders Roberts and Dorothy May Arnold,
both of Bedford, Ind.; four brothers, Thomas Henry Griffin Jr. of Kyle,
Texas, Marvin (Bud) Edward Griffin of Bedford, Ind., Glen Houston
Griffin of Kansas City, Mo., and Carl Lee (Dub) Griffin of Puxico, Mo.;
and two grandchildren, Judeah Diane Griffin Yarbro of Memphis, Tenn.,
and Amanda Sue Henson of Deer Park, Texas.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 8, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Arnold,
Carl Lee Griffin, Bobby Boen, Glen Griffin, Marvin Griffin, and Larry
Henson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.
Friday, March 7, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Argus C. Barens
Argus C. (Shorty) Barens, 80, of
Sonora, formerly of Johnson County, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, in
Springdale.
He was a native of Fallsville, son
of the late Oliver E. and Nellie Rhodes Barens, Army veteran, and was
preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Martha Barens; three
brothers, Tony, Buford, and Keelan Barens; and three sisters, Walsie
Perry, Juneta Bollinger and Irene Blair.
Survivors are four children, Judy
Bowen of Alma, Ronnie Barens of Witter, Alvin Barens of Springdale, and
Barbara Clifton-Hackwith of Springdale; five sisters, Laneta Campbell
of Tulsa, Okla., Delva Montag of Broken Arrow, Okla., Artibell Burton
of Elkins, and Wilma Robinson and Frances Byrd, both of Springdale; 13
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
Feb. 20, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Case
officiating. Burial followed at 2 p.m. at the Belt Cemetery in Ozark.
Daniel Lyn Soard
Daniel Lyn Soard, 21, of Salem, Mo.,
grandson of John Soard of Clarksville, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at
St. Louis, Mo.
Other survivors include his parents,
Jerry and Megan Soard of Salem, Mo.; one child, Ashton Levi Soard of
Bunker, Mo.; two sisters, Christy Sue Vallejo and husband, Gabriel, and
Rebecca Soard of Salem, Mo., and grandparents, Brad and Sue Richardson
of Inkom, Idaho, and Lois Wood of Huntsville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March
3, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church north of Clarksville with Rev. Jim
Goodman officiating.
Burial was in Stillwell Cemetery
under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Deborah A. Molder
Deborah A. Molder, 51, of Altus died
Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her
father, Tommey Franklin Willis; and one brother, Tommey Ray Willis.
Survivors include her husband, Gary
Molder Sr.; one son, Gary Mike Molder Jr. of Altus; mother, Modena W.
Smith of Knoxville; one sister, Carolyn Rhoads of Las Vegas, Nev.; and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
March 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. George Willis
officiating. Burial was at Deer Cemetery.
Donald C. Cotton
Donald Clyde Cotton, 33, of
Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Sparks Regional Medical
Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Clarksville,
graduate of Clarksville High School, and son of the late Edna Marie
Perry Cotton.
Survivors include his father, Leroy
Cotton of Clarksville; one sister, Laura Lee Austin of Fort Smith; four
brothers, Eddie Cotton and wife, Pamela, Michael Cotton, Roy Cotton and
wife, Shela, and Jimmy Cotton, all of Clarksville; and nieces and
nephews, Brandon Cotton, LaTeasha Cotton, Tylee Cotton, LaKeisha Pelts,
China Ray, Jordan Ray, and Lakelyn Cotton.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March
4, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Hickman officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Eula L. Bly
Eula L. Bly, 98, of Clarksville died
Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late John
S. and Maggie Poteet Rhett, widow of Elmer Bly, member of Jamestown
Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Sonny
Bly; and one daughter, Flossie Bly.
Survivors include two sons, David
Bly of Florida and Mike Bly of Green River, Wyo.; one sister, Maggie
Bly of Hackett; and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 1, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Holt
officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

James E. Reano
James Edward Reano, 71, of Ozark,
grandfather of Tiffany Reano of Clarksville, died Sunday, Feb. 24,
2008, in Ozark.
He was a son of the late James P.
and Ruby Bartolich Reano, native of Jenny Lind, retired executive
director of the Ozark Housing Authority, member of Jenny Lind Church of
Christ, Ozark Masonic Lodge and Jenny Lind Lodge No. 503, honorary
member of the Coal Hill Masonic Lodge No. 383, former district deputy
of Masonic Lodge of District 28, and member of the Fort Smith Scottish
Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie
Rodgers Reano; two sons, Steve and Scott Reano, both of Ozark; two
brothers, Joe Reano of Jenny Lind and Pete Reano of Huntington; two
other grandchildren, Jared Reano of Russellville and Kevin Reano of
Ozark.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb.
26, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Ted Darling
officiating. Masonic graveside rites followed at Highland Cemetery in
Ozark.
Pallbearers were Matt Coleman,
Jarrod Burns, Davy Joe Kinney, Scott Jessup, John Warren, and John
Parrish.

Kenneth R. Brown
Kenneth R. Brown, 79, of Lamar died
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
A son of the late Charley and Ocie
Mae Hankins Brown, he was a native of Lamar, construction estimator,
Baptist minister, member of Knoxville First Baptist Church, and was
preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Margie
Brown; four sons, Kerry Brown and wife, Joyce, of Mountainburg, Stephen
Brown and wife, Beverly, of Clarksville, David Brown and wife, Joan, of
Knoxville, and Bryan Brown and wife, Michele, of Lamar; one daughter,
Rhonda Pitts and husband, Lloyd, of Clarksville; five brothers, W. A.
Brown of Ozone, Ronald Brown of Bryan, Texas, Paul Brown of Wichita,
Kan., and Charles Brown and Edward Brown, both of Lamar; 11
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10
a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev.
Richard Snyder and Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Arrangements were
under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Kenneth W. Turner
Kenneth William Turner, 83, of Lamar
died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was a son of the late Alfred Burl
and Lena Pearl Turner, Air Force veteran, member of Lamar Baptist
Church and Bunch Walton Post No. 22 of the American Legion, retired saw
mill employee and logger, and was preceded in death by his wife,
Dorothy Turner; one son, James Dale Turner; and three brothers, Ray,
Fay and Arnold Turner.
He is survived by three daughters,
Kathy Dyer, Lynne Nichols and Rita Kraus, all of Lamar; one son, Bill
Turner of Lamar; two brothers, Ottis Turner of Portland, Ore., and Burl
Wayne Turner of Pomona, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Taylor, Becky
Taylor, Erica Thomas, Alfred Milam, Shauna Milam, Matt Needham, Ashley
Stewart, K. T. Turner, Ryan Turner, William Turner, and Cody Kraus; and
11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday,
March 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass
officiating. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery.

Louis W. Siegeler
Louis W. Siegeler, 79, of London
died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was employed in construction as a
carpenter, Army veteran, member of the Assembly of God Church, son of
the late Louie and Alphia Gee Wade Siegeler, and was preceded in death
by one son, Phillip (Rusty) Siegeler.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline
Siegeler; one daughter, Deanna Whorton and husband, Paul, of the Flat
Rock Community; three sons, Johnny Siegeler and wife, Tina, of Kingman,
Ariz., Tony S. Black of Canyon County, Calif., and L. Steven Black of
the Flat Rock Community; one sister, Mozelle Gwynn of Texas; seven
grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were
at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Amos
Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Maggie Nowotny
Maggie Nowotny, 95, of Clarksville
died Feb. 21, 2008, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Hartman,
daughter of the late James Monroe and Sena Elizabeth Sloan Masterson,
widow of Elmer Martin Nowotny, and member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons,Walter
Nowotny and wife, Willive, of Clarksville and Tom Nowotny and wife,
Tennie, of Fort Smith; five grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Rita
Nowotny of Cedarville, Gloria and Steven Fairfield of McAlester, Okla.,
Larry and Stacey Nowotny of Clarksville, Connie and Jerry James of
Fayetteville, and Mark and Jackie Nowotny of Clarksville; 14
great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March
3, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Milam officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Cemetery
under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Pearl L. Holt
Pearl Lucille Holt, 92, of Fort
Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in Fort Smith.
A native of Lamar, she was a
daughter of the late John and Mary Frances Collier, widow of Charles
Holt, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include her guardians,
Ralph and Thelma Grace of Van Buren; and numerous cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial
at Forest Park Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of
Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Rex Bailey, Kevin
Mann, Jerl Mitchell and Richard Cowan.

Ronald E. Harvey
A memorial service for Ronald E.
Harvey, 63, of Clarksville was held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008,
at Full Gospel Fellowship in Clarksville with Dr. Jack Glaze
officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Superior Funeral
Services of North Little Rock.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon
Harvey; children, Sean (Christy) Harvey and David (Gracie) Harvey, all
of Clarksville; and siblings, Burt Harvey of El Monte, Calif., Richard
Harvey of Fullerton, Calif., Bill (Deborah) Harvey of Landers, Calif.,
and Judy Hester of Ozone.
Steve L. Erixson
Steve Life Erixson, 79, of Coal Hill
died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at his home.
He was a native of Lincoln, Neb.,
son of Percy and Thelma Erixson, graduate of Lincoln (Nebraska) High
School, and a retired mill operator at Tyson Feed Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Lois
Carter Erixson; two daughters, Ruth Smith of Fresno, Calif., and Debbie
Brummett of California; two sons, David Erixson of Washington and
Darrell Erixson of Los Angeles, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 25
great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the
direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Zala T. Johnson
Zala Beatrice Thompkins Johnson, 87,
whose son and daughter-in-law, Wilford Gene and ZaAnna Johnson, reside
in Clarksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, in Calico Rock.
She was a native of Poinsett County,
widow of James C. Johnson, member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Avon
representative, and was retired from the upholstery business and a wood
working shop where she made frames. She was preceded in death by her
parents; five sisters, Martha May Rogers, Violet Mary Carlton, Gay Nell
Burns, Sarah Christine Austin, and Aileen Doris Cole; and one brother,
Oliver Birdwell Thompkins.
She is survived by one other son and
daughter-in-law, Paul and Crystal Johnson of Evening Shade; one
brother, Wilton Thompkins of Evening Shade; two sisters, Betty Sue
Burns of Russellville and Patsy Ann Dyer of Conway; eight
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday,
March 1, at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne
with Bobby Cannon officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery under the
direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Active pallbearers were John
Turknett, James C. Johnson, Michael Johnson, Paul Johnson Jr., David
Ohler, and James Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Burns,
Larry Strope, Wilton Thompkins and John G. Dyer.
