Billy Dean Sharp
Billy Dean Sharp, 44, of Dardanelle
died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a truck driver and
Pentecostal.
Survivors include one daughter, Ada
M. Sharp of Oklahoma; father, Larry W. Sharp of Murrieta, Calif.;
mother and stepfather, Stella and Clyde Byrd of Dardanelle;
grandmother, Marjorie Spears of Russellville; one sister, Melinda
Henson and husband, Kevin, of Dardanelle; one brother, Larry W. Sharp
Jr. and wife, Michele, of Russellville; three grandchildren; one niece;
and four nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2
p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Gum Springs Presbyterian Church in Dardanelle
with Rev. Rick Balentine officiating. Arrangements are under the
direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Danty Gene Brown
Danty Gene Brown, 75, of Van Buren
died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort
Smith.
A native of Clarksville, he was a
former employee of J. Lewis Chevrolet Company in Clarksville for many
years, retired Rheem Manufacturing Company employee after 27 years of
service, and was preceded in death by his mother, Villa Dobbs James.
Survivors include his wife of 31
years, Carolyn Ruth Jacobs Brown; one daughter, Joyce McGuire and
husband, Billy, of Lamar; two stepsons, Frank Robert Popa of Fort Smith
and Arnold John Popa III and wife, Shannon, of Magazine; one sister,
Tina Griffin and husband, J. B., of Chicago, Ill.; one grandchild,
Duane McGuire and wife, Lorie, of Lamar; one great-grandchild, Drake
McGuire of Lamar; eight stepgrandchildren; and two
stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday,
Dec. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. L. Bonds
officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Duane
McGuire, Drake McGuire, Frank Popa, John Daniel Popa, John Halpain, and
Paul Jacobs Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be A. J.
Popa and Billy McGuire.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Doy E. Turner
Doy Everette Turner, 78, of Coal
Hill died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at his home.
He was a retired truck driver, son
of the late Charles and Carrie Arbaugh Turner, and was preceded in
death by two stepsons, Jerry and Ronald Guess; and one great-grandson,
Oliver Cummings Holt.
He is survived by his wife, Martha
Sams Turner; six daughters, Peggy Domerese of Coal Hill, Charlotte
Delaney of Altus, Shannon Closson, Connie Turner, and Angel Turner, all
of Spokane, Wash., and Karen Lupold of Nevada; six sons, Jerry, Larry
and Terry Turner, all of Spokane, Wash., Ray Guess of Florida, Lee
Guess of Kentucky, and Michael Guess of Knoxville; two sisters, Dorothy
Dawson of Cabot and Mozelle Zimmerman of Little Rock; two brothers,
Dennis Odell Turner of Clarksville and Billy Turner of Cabot; 31
grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec.
10, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. David Zeiler officiating.
Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Eddie
Domerese II, Michael Guess II, Aaron Self, Timmy Roberson, David
Roberson, and Gary Roberson.
Honorary pallbearer was James

Franklin J. Williams
Franklin Junior Williams, 70, of
Mulberry died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville, son
of the late Nolan John and Wanda Fay Simmons Williams, carpenter, and
was preceded in death by his wife, Thyra Beckham Williams.
Survivors include three daughters,
Kimberley Sue Cowan and Tammi Ann Leslie, both of Fort Smith, and Linda
E. Spencer of Caulksville; one son, Johnny Frank Williams of Mulberry;
three sisters, Martha Jennings, Wanda Mainard, and Edna Hern, all of
Clarksville; three brothers, Thurman Williams of Hartman, and Steven
Williams and Johnny E. Williams, both of Clarksville; 19 grandchildren;
and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will
be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at New Cemetery in Mulberry with Rev.
Junior Burcham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of
Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Kendall
Williams, Craig Cowan, Glen Cowan, Ricky Townsend, Levi Townsend,
Dustin Townsend, and Dillon Townsend.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jakob
Spencer, Kyle Spencer, Jason Efurd, Joey Efurd, and Randall Efurd.
L. Wayne Morgan
Leonard Wayne Morgan, 65, of Lamar
died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a son of the late Leonard
Orville and Oda Rowbotham Morgan, member of the Clarksville Church of
Christ and was preceded in death by one brother, David Lee Morgan.
Survivors include two aunts, Ada
Morgan of Clarksville and Pauline Rector of Dardanelle; and several
cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec.
11, at Roller-Cox Chapel with John Ballard and Todd Rabalais
officiating. Burial was in Russell Cemetery at Murray's Chapel near
Hagarville.
Pallbearers were Norman Sexton,
Morgan Jennings, Tommy Rowbotham, Craig Frost, Joe Perry Sr., and Duane
Steele.
Lola R. Otts
Lola Reynolds Otts, 92, of Atkins,
formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Legacy Lodge
Nursing Home in Russellville.
She was a native of Heber Springs,
daughter of the late Epsie and Virgie James Reynolds, widow of Marvin
Otts, and member of Glen Rose Baptist Church in Glen Rose.
She is survived by one daughter and
son-in-law, Donna and Charles Crocker of Appleton; one son and
daughter-in-law, Owen and Beth Green of Biloxi, Miss.; one sister,
Flossie Wood of Fort Smith; one brother, Jack Reynolds of Crossett; 12
grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec.
10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Arnold Humphrey officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Margaret Ann Ingersoll
Margaret Ann Ingersoll, 70, of
Knoxville died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late
Charles and Viola Allen Keethler, widow of James Ingersoll; Baptist,
and was employed in the medical field as manager of Document Control.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James Ingersoll Jr. and Robert
Lee Ingersoll; and one brother, Harvey Alonzo Grisham.
Survivors include one daughter,
Connie Sue Ingersoll of Knoxville; five sisters, Vicky Ingersoll of
Lamar, Helen Burgin of Newport, Ky., Georgie Dolch of Great Falls,
Mont., Kathy Bruewer of Sarasota, Fla., and Gloria Cruse of Cincinnati,
Ohio; one brother, Roger Keethler of Cincinnati, Ohio; five
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews;
and companion, Robert E. Hibdon of Knoxville.
A memorial service was held at 2
p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Flat Rock Baptist Church with Rev.
Michael West officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were
under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mary A. Mentek
Mary Adelaide Mentek, 87, of
Russellville died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home.
She was a former resident of
Clarksville, daughter of the late Clarence Leland and Anna Margaret
McKinney Parker, widow of Joseph S. Mentek, and a retired retail food
employee.
Survivors include one daughter,
Barbara Ann Ciesla of Russellville; one son, Joseph S. Mentek and wife,
Mary, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Clarence W. Parker and
wife, Sandra, of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at
10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Atkins Catholic Church with Father Ernest
Hardesty officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
