Elizabeth Estep
Elizabeth Estep, 89, of Coal Hill died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, in Benton.
She was a native of the Spadra Community, daughter of the late Blake
and Jocie Bowlin Timmons and was preceded in death by her husband of 62
years, Clyde Estep; two sisters, Katherine Estep and Lorene Riggs; and
one brother, Vernon Timmons.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Marvel of Bryant and
Elizabeth Fultz of Coal Hill; three sons, Carl Estep and Richard Estep,
both of Hartman, and Dean Estep of Rogers; one sister, Irene Marshall
of Camellia, Calif.; two brothers, Harvey Timmons of Oxford, Calif.,
and Herman Timmons of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; 20
great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Coal Hill First
Baptist Church with Rev. David Qualls officiating.
Burial will be in the Coal Hill Cemetery under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Fultz, Dwayne Estep, Randall Estep, Ben Estep,
Zach Estep, and Robert Liptak.

Gaylan
Ray Bell
Graveside services and burial for Gaylan Ray Bell, 45, of Alma, who
died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at his home, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 16, at the West Mount Zion Cemetery north of Hartman with Rev.
Clarence Smith officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren and
retired employee of Holiday Inn and KFC.
Survivors include his parents, Gail Irene Passmore Hartsell of Alma and
Johnnie Ray Bell of Van Buren; three sisters, Nikki Newby and Kristi
Mayberry, both of Greenwood, and Jennifer Keeler of Liberty, Okla.; one
brother, Toby Bell of Liberty, Okla.; grandmother, Elsie Phelps of Van
Buren; and uncle, Bill Watson of Alma.
Gladys
Faye Sherrell
Gladys Faye Sherrell, 63, of the Batson Community died Sunday, Oct. 14,
2007, at Oark.
She was a member of the Sherrellville Church, daughter of the late
Harce and Marie Wise Clayborn, and was preceded in death by three
brothers, Doyle Clayborn, Darrell Clayborn, and Carrold Clayborn; two
sisters, Alpha Hopkins and Mary Hissey; two grandsons, Matthew Sherrell
and Andrew Sherrell; and one son-in-law, Allen Robinson.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Carroll Sherrell; two
daughters, Robyn Harderson and husband, Craig, of the Batson Community
and Tresa Yarbrough and husband, Garry, of Clarksville; one son, Ronald
Sherrell and wife, Luchrisia (Trish) of the Batson Community; two
sisters, Alene Ihle of Paris and Rita Wyers of Ozark; one brother,
Harold Clayborn of Nail; and eight grandchildren, Mandy and Joseph
Sherrell, Lauren, Lakyn and Laryn Robinson, Logan Harderson, and Tanner
and Ross Yarbrough.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Sherrellville
Church with Rev. Bill Holt and Rev. George Willis officiating.
Burial will be in Sherrellville Cemetery under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Greg Willis, Johnny Anglin, David Wyers, Al
Wyers, Randy Wyers, and Jody Cooper.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Hill, Bob Vickers, Thurman
Ritchie, Dwight Stepp, Willie Pitts, Bill Callahan, Harold McNeese, and
Paul Ray Cummins.

Ann Jones
Kimberlee Ann Jones, 49, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Kristoffer Jones; two sons, Ryan
Allen Wright and Russell Kris Jones, both of Clarksville; parents,
Richard Lee and Peggy Foltz Pevahouse of California; two sisters, Darla
Montgomery of California and Debra (Kepi) Hurt of Hawaii; and three
brothers, Dave Pevahouse of Tennessee, Richard Rolls of Oregon and Russ
Pevahouse of Arkansas.
Richard
Hull
Richard Hull, 82, of Clarksville died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at his
home.
A native of Treat, he was a son of the late Jim Dave and Martha Jane
Freeman Hull, retired laborer, and was preceded in death by one
brother, Garland Hull.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Hull; three sons, Jerry Hull and
Jimmy Hull, both of Dover, and Billy Hull of Clinton, Okla.; two
brothers, Earl Hull of Oklahoma and William Hull of California; one
stepson, Bobby Robbins of Clarksville; one stepdaughter, Dian Meadows
of Clarksville; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at
the Owens Cemetery near Dover under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral
Home.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Hardwicke
Funeral Home.
Robert
Alvin Bly
Robert Alvin (Bob) Bly, 79, of Clarksville died Friday, Oct. 12,
2007, at his home in Jamestown.
He was an Army veteran, 30-year coal miner, son of the late Zachariah
and Rena Quick Bly, and was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years,
Martha Lou Young Bly; and two brothers, Horace Bly and Zach Bly.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Butler Bly; three daughters, Sharon
Reams and Sandra Engler, both of Russellville, and Glenda Caldwell of
Knoxville; two sons, Daniel Bly and Antonio Bly, both of Clarksville;
two stepchildren, Carol Jorgensen of Clarksville and Cindy Carrico of
Antioch, Calif.; two sisters, Lavada Casey of Clarksville and Barbara
Pharris of Little Rock; four brothers, David Bly of Denton, Texas, Bill
Bly of Granbury, Texas, and Thomas Bly and Jim Bly, both of Heber
Springs; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel
with Aaron Beard and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in
Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shane Beard, Aaron Beard, Travis Engler, Jim Bly,
Michael Jorgensen, and James Siefert.

Virginia
Gray Looney
Virginia Looney was born on November 27, 1925, in Scranton, Arkansas
and died October 13, 2007, in Southaven, Mississippi. She was the third
of Otis and Eala Gray's seven children. After graduating from Scranton
High School she attended Draughons Business College in Little Rock,
Arkansas. Subsequently she met and married Walter B. Looney, her
husband until his death in 1993. During his twenty year Air Force
career, they were stationed in the Philippines, Canada, and at numerous
bases around the United States. Along the way she had three children
and earned a private pilot's license. In 1961, upon his retirement from
the Air Force, she and Walter with partner Charlie Pennington
co-founded Desoto Airpark, a private airport in Desoto County, MS. They
built a business that included a maintenance facility, a charter
service, and the largest flight school in the mid-south. In 1972,
Virginia and Walter returned to Scranton, built a home on Lake
Dardanelle and along with their son, Jim, started Aircraft Maintenance
Center. The lake home became the center of all family activities. She
spent extended summer vacations spoiling her beloved grandchildren,
staged huge Fourth of July parties, and made her place the place to be
for every holiday event. Virginia was a longtime supporter of St. Jude
Hospital in Memphis, TN; a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; a
local sponsor for foreign students at the University of the Ozarks; and
a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
She is survived by brothers, James Gray, Bill Gray, Jerry Gray;
sisters, Rubeline Tyler, Wilma Jane Rinkle; sons and wives, David and
Elaine Looney, Jim and Carol Looney; daughter and husband, Joyce and
Paul Williams; grandchildren, Randy Looney, Christine Looney Carle,
Gail Knight White, Brady Knight, Kelsey Looney; and three
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, AR from 6
p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The funeral service is scheduled
for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at First Baptist Church in Clarksville,
AR. Burial to follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital or the First Baptist Church
of Clarksville Building Fund.
