Rose Marie Timmerman
Rose Marie Timmerman, 86, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, April 10, 2007,
at Fort Smith.
A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Herman J. and
Mary Timmerman, a packer at Wortz Biscuit Company for 40-plus years,
member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Fort Smith and the
Coal Hill VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was preceded in death by three
brothers, Edward, Lawrence and Herbert; and one sister, Christine.
She is survived by two sisters, Irene Coble of Castro Valley, Calif.,
and Margaret Bartlett of Coal Hill; and one brother, Herman Art
Timmerman of Ozark.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Shaffer Funeral Home
Chapel in Ozark. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, at St.
Mary's Catholic Church in Altus with Father Hilary Filiatreau
officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Altus.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Richard Bartlett, Glen Bartlett, Paul
Timmerman, Darel Timmerman, Greg Timmerman, and Todd Timmerman.
Eugene C. Hanshew
Eugene C. (Gene) Hanshew, 82, of Springdale died Thursday, March 22,
2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
He was a son of the late Carl and Edna Hanshew, native of Johnson
County but moved to Springdale in 1945, where he was employed as a
truck driver for Jones Truck Lines for 39 years prior to
retiring. He was a member of the Springdale Missionary Baptist Church
and had served as a Sunday school superintendent and deacon. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Harvey; one brother, Melvin
Hanshew; two nephews, Marty Pyles and Billy Hanshew; and one
great-grandson, Brandon Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Hanshew; one son, Bob Hanshew and
wife, Delores of Lowell; one sister, Eulema Pyles of Coal Hill; five
grandchildren, Kim Henry, Shelley Williams, Rusty Hanshew, Sonia
McKinney and Rob Hanshew; eight great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, at
Bluff Cemetery in Springdale with Rev. Dan Wisely officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
Pallbearers were Rusty Hanshew, Rob Hanshew, Terry Gregory, James
Gregory, Cody Rodgers, and Terry Williams.

Jerry
Lee Ward
Jerry Lee Ward, 64, of Clarksville died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at his
home.
He was born in Pinkneyville, Ill., graduated from Pinkneyville High
School and Murry State College in Kentucky, Army veteran of the Vietnam
War, Purple Heart recipient, retired truck driver, and was
preceded in death by his father, Wayne Ward; and one son, Jordan Ward.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Orme and husband, Jason, of
Oahu, Hawaii; one son, Jason Ward and wife, Sarah, of Peoria, Ill.;
mother, Mabel Ward of Odin, Ill.; two sisters, Janet Broombaugh and
husband, Gene, of Carbondale, Ill., and Julia Ward of Dallas, Texas;
two grandchildren, Jacob and Jennah Ward of Peoria, Ill.; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be in Illinois. Local arrangements
were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Belle Bock
Laura Belle Bock, 89, of Clarksville died Wednesday, April 4,
2007, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of Charlotte, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late George
Donald and Mary Viola Underhill Binkley, widow of Joseph T. Bock,
graduate of Clarksville High School, and a member of the First United
Methodist Church in Clarksville.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Jaggers and husband, Keith,
of Ozark; and one grandchild, Shane Jaggers of Ozark.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, at Holy
Redeemer Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Troy Ellison officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Lucille
S. Hunt
Laura Lucille Stewart Hunt, 94, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of
Clarksville, died Friday, April 6, 2007.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late James Monroe
and Dona Stewart, widow of Elbert Conley Hunt, and a former resident of
Sulphur Springs but had resided in Arlington, Texas, since 1952.
She was involved in retail sales with her late husband, a service
station owner/operator, member of the First United Methodist Church in
Arlington, Texas, and the Wesley Progressors Sunday School Class,
and during her children's education she was active in various
parent-teacher associations and room mother several times. She was
preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Carolyn Hunt and Joan Ella
Hunt Carroll; one unnamed son; and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Jerry E. Hunt of Arlington, Texas; one
son-in-law, Don Mac Carroll of Arlington, Texas; two granddaughters,
Candace Joy Carroll of New York City, N. Y., and Brittany Lauren
Carroll of Lewisville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday, April 11, at Arlington Funeral
Home Chapel with burial in Moore Memorial Gardens.
