Bill Alexander
Bill Alexander, 51, of Mooresville, N. C., stepfather of Shawn Pierce
of Lamar, died Jan. 30, 2007.
A native of Muskegon, Mich., he was a former resident of Fort Smith, a
rock mason, and was preceded in death by one nephew, Greg Alexander.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jolene and Deane Zellmer
of Alma; two sons, Terry Neal of Fort Smith and William of Los
Angeles, Calif.; one other stepson, Bobby Pierce of Fort Smith; one
sister, Linda Alexander of Pocola, Okla.; and three brothers, Greg
Alexander of Cecil, Tim Alexander of Fort Smith, and Harold Alexander
of Alma.
Dolores L. Robin
Dolores Louise Robin, 85, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Chicago, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Peter and
Alma Kernel Gruendel, member of St. Edna's Catholic Church at Arlington
Heights, Ill., graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Ill., widow of
LeRoy T. Robin, and was preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine.
Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Powers and husband, Tom, of
Arlington Heights, Ill., and Marylynn Kent and husband, Bob, of
Clarksville; three sons, Tom Robin and wife, Judy, of Ann Arbor, Mich.,
and Bill Robin and wife, Mary Pat, and Rick Robin and wife, Laurie, all
of Hawthorne Woods, Ill.; one brother, Don Gruendel and wife, Micki, of
Tampa, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel
with Father William Wewers officiating. Funeral mass and burial will be
Thursday morning, Feb. 22, in Des Plaines, Ill.
James F. Alderson
James Floyd (Son) Alderson, 82, of Lamar died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007.
A son of the late Roy James and Ollie Francis Clark Alderson, he was a
retired truck driver and logger, member of the Masonic Lodge,
World
War II Navy and Sea Bee veteran, and was preceded in death by his wife,
Lerah Lois Holman Alderson; one daughter, Beverly Ann Alderson; two
sons, James Eugene Alderson and Ronnie Lee Alderson; and
one sister,
Evelyn Chronister.
He is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Cummins of Clarksville; two
brothers, Raymond (Buck) Alderson of Lamar and Lee Alderson of
Clarksville; three sisters, Hettie Johnson and Evey Dean Hollis, both
of Clarksville, and Margaret Childers of Van Buren; two grandchildren,
Justin Nowotny and wife, Courtney, of Conway and Lori Lombardo and
husband, Stan, of Dardanelle; and three grandchildren, Austen Basham,
Ian Hardcastle, and Lucas Lombardo, all of Dardanelle.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Richard Snyder officiating. Burial was in Holman
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Holman, Jerry Miller, Ronnie Cowell, George
McClain, Kenny Colvin, and Bobby Joe Wilkins.

Jose M. Alvarado
Jose Manuel Gutierrez Alvarado, 62, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Feb.
13, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elpida Gonzales.
Survivors include two daughters, Bertha Gutierrez and Petra Gutierrez,
both of Mexico; three sons, Luis Gutierrez and Manuel Gutierrez, both
of Mexico, and Jaime Gutierrez of Tulsa, Okla.; parents, Jose Luis
Gutierrez and Mo Dominga Alvarado; siblings, Amelia Gutierrez Alvarado,
Maria Ampara Gutierrez Alvarado, Alcanio Gutierrez Alvarado, and
Eularia Gutierrez Alvarado; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Mexico.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Louis Morris
Louis Morris, 88, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at the
Veterans Hospital in North Little Rock.
He was a native of Pettigrew, son of the late George and Zona Hinkle
Morris, World War II Army veteran, retired farmer, and was preceded in
death by two sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Deloris Lewis Morris; two sons, Donald
Ray Morris and Billy Howard Morris, both of Springdale; and two
brothers, Herman Morris of Eudora, Kan., and Roy Morris of Lawrence,
Kan.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with
Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Dorney, Jimmy Dorney, Duane Steele, Wesley
Kendrick, and Jody Storms.
Harold L. Allen
Harold L. (Corky) Allen, 80, of Hartman died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Richard and Ethel Payne Allen, farmer, Marine
veteran, and member of Harmony Masonic Lodge No. 433.
He is survived by two sisters, Naomi Allen Davis of Missouri and
Virginia Nell Allen Bridges; numerous nieces and nephews; and
companion/caretaker, Amy Hignite.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Robert Boen officiating. Burial will be in Hogan
Cemetery in the Harmony Community.
Active pallbearers will be Glen Harden, Don Vaught, Richard Yarbrough,
Raymond Needham, Dwain Langdon, and Don Highfill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dane Arbaugh, L. D. Holland, Robert

Clark Alan Stovall
Clark Alan Stovall, 43, of Scranton died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007.
He was a son of the late Judy Clark Stovall, and was preceded in death
by one sister, Sherry Stovall; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lucy
Lee Stovall; and maternal grandparents, Jack and Ethel Clark.
Survivors include his father, Harold Stovall of Scranton; one son,
Matthew Stovall of Dover; three sisters, Crystal Eichelberger of
Knoxville, Shelly Emanuel of Scranton, and Myra Bauer of Sherwood; one
brother, Brent Stovall of Clarksville; and nine nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Roller Funeral Home
Chapel in Paris followed by burial at Ware's Chapel Cemetery at Dublin.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Bauer, Chris Rogers, Charles King, Jim
Keathley, Natel Eichelberger, and Jesse Bray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Walker, David Fox, and Brent Stovall.

Donna M. Frost
Donna M. Gates Frost, 65, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at
Clarksville.
She was a daughter of the late John Otis and Ruth Holmes Weir, member
of the First United Methodist Church, loved to collect frogs, and was
preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Fritz Weir.
Survivors include her husband, Wiley Frost; two daughters, Debbie Neal
and husband, Andy, of Russellville and Deloros Meinders of Des Moines,
Iowa; one son, Brian Gates of Clarksville; three stepchildren,
Roger
Frost of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Joan Frost Earnhart of Prattsville, Wis.,
and John Frost of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Ashley White of
Russellville, Justin Range of Bella Vista, and Brandon Meinders of
Texas; five stepgrandchildren; and two dogs, Maggie and Bear.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the First United Methodist
Church with Rev. Doug Criss officiating.
Burial was in Mount Airy Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Glen Hubbard, Josh Hubbard, Leon Thomasson,
Robert Frost, Dr. Mike Hillis, and Charles Bruchman.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Friendship Sunday School
Class, Joe Talley and Varnel King.
