Carroll Dean Pruett, 75, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at
First Freewill Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Burl William and Dora Ellen Duvall Pruett,
graduate of Lakeside High School, member of Cherry Street Baptist
Church and the Gideon's International, Army Corps of Engineers officer
during the Korean War, Birmingham area manager of the Pet Milk Company,
operated Pruett's Country Store from 1967-1972, and opened and operated
Pruett's Water Conditioning Company from 1972 until his retirement in
1989.
Survivors include his wife, Nita Rose Frazier Pruett; two sons, Michael
Alan and wife, Sheena Highfill Pruett of Springdale and Gary Dean and
wife, Pam Bartlett Pruett, of Clarksville; one brother, John David
Pruett and wife, Beverly, of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Francille
Osuna and husband, Richard, of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren,
April and husband, Jeremy Mays, Alicia and husband, Jeremy Proctor, and
Gary Allen Pruett and wife, Regina, all of Clarksville, Kristopher
Pruett and wife, Amy, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Shondra Pruett of Dallas,
Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Rocky Pruett Mays, Maddi Pruett
Mays, Alayna Pruett, Payton Pruett, and Gary A. Pruett Jr., all of
Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Cherry Street
Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Jeff Brewer, Rev. Bob Oden, and
Rev. Robert Williams.
Burial will be in Stillwell Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Pruett, Jeremy Mays, Jeremy Proctor,
Geary Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, and Steve Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rocky Pruett Mays, Kris Pruett, Don Cater,
Mark Witherspoon, Darrell Timmerman, and Gary Rhinehart.
Enola Fern Wise, 81, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Charles Edgar Rachels and the late Maude
Lee Johnson Rachels, and retired secretary with the Department of Motor
Vehicles.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Wise; one daughter, Alice Lee Wise
of Laurel, Miss.; one son, James Michael Wise of Livermore, Calif.;
four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Roller-Cox
Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.
Herman Daniel O'Hara, 85, of Lamar died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at his
home.
He was a retired truck driver, son of the late Elizabeth Ramsey O'Hara
and the late William Thomas O'Hara, and was preceded in death by one
son, Michael Daniel O'Hara.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Jean Whatenbarger O'Hara; one
daughter, Gay Lynn Sesny of Lamar; five sisters, Inez McKay of
Greenville, Texas, Margaret Jones of Rockwall, Texas, Frances Gillispie
of Van Dalia, Ohio, Barbra Rockwell of Poolville, Texas, and Martha
Darnell of Ron Oak, Texas; three grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Coker Mathews Funeral Home
in Greenville, Texas. Burial was in in Memory Land Cemetery in
Greenville, Texas.
Herla Yates, 87, of Oark died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Clarksville
Convalescent Home.
He was a son of the late English L. and Maude Acord Yates, Navy
veteran, retired poultry farmer and timber employee and was preceded in
death by his wife, Dew Yates; and one son, Bryan Yates.
He is survived by one son, Gary Yates and wife, Carolyn, of Oark; and
two grandchildren, Mark Yates of Pine Bluff and Matt Yates of
Russellville.
Anna Marie Hervey Ingram, 93, of Clarksville died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006.
Born in Clarksville June 8, 1913, to David William and La-Mira Ann
Green Hervey, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Floyd
Ingram.
She was a graduate of Arkansas Cumberland Academy (formerly in
Clarksville) and a 1933 graduate of The College of the Ozarks (now
University of the Ozarks), member of First Presbyterian Church for 83
years, ordained elder and held many offices in the women's associaton,
twice she served as chair of a committee to redecorate and renovate the
Presbyterian Church and was instrumental in getting it placed on the
Historical Register. She was also active in many school, community and
college organizations.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the First Presbyterian
Church with Rev. Nancy Benson Nicol officiating. Burial was at Oakland
Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Hardwicke
Funeral Home.

Robert (Cookie) Cooksey, 73, of Scranton died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Whittier, Calif., he was a son of the late Floyd R. and
Gladys J. Kennedy Cooksey, graduate of Whittier (California) High
School, retired truck driver, Army veteran of the Korean War, member of
Scranton American Legion, New Blaine VFW, and Masonic Lodge, and was
preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Cooksey.
He is survived by four daughters, Kim Dewitt and husband, Doug, of
Scranton, Jill Linn and Suzanne Dewitt, both of Paris, and Jana
Williams and husband, Ed, of Clarksville; one son, Joey Cline of
Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Bobby Redding of Coalinga,
Calif., Daniel Hohf of the U. S. Army, Brett Dewitt, Dylan Dewitt, and
Beau Dewitt, all of Scranton, Trevor Dewitt and Trey Dewitt, both of
Paris, Josh Williams of Clarksville, and Tiffany Williams of Ozark; and
five great-grandchildren, Lyric Redding, Odessa Redding and Darien
Redding, all of Coalinga, Calif., Tara Williams of Clarksville, and
Emily Owen of Ozark.
William Morris (Punky) Terry Jr., 39, of Flippin, died Friday, Dec. 8,
at his home.
He was a native of Indianapolis, Ind.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Tom Martin of
Flippin; father, William Morris Terry Sr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; two
brothers, Jake Martin of Bull Shoals and Darrin Terry of Indianapolis,
Ind.; two sisters, Sheila Terry of Scranton and Melissa Terry of
Indianapolis, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Lou and Truman Hutchinson of
Lamar; paternal grandmother, Thelma Conley of Medaryville, Ind.; one
niece; and four nephews.
Orville Lawrence Miller, 88, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 19,
2006, at his home.
A native of Fairland, Okla., he was a son of the late Martin E. and
Etta B. Goode Miller, lifelong member of the Knights of Pythias,
retired owner of a Firestone Store and Conoco Station, Navy veteran of
World War II, and attended East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Rosemary Fisher and husband, Von,
of
Columbia, S. C., Ragene Moessinger and Lynnell Howard and husband,
Morgan, all of Clarksville, and Lee Ann Longbotham and husband, Jerry,
of Capitan, N. M.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are
under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
