Annabelle (Ann) Tedeton, 68, of Downsville, La., died Aug. 28, 2006, in
Downsville, La.
She was a native of Sikeston, Mo., daughter of the late Velmar and
Necia Ann Qualls, graduate of Clarksville High School, and member of
First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Leslie (Jack) Tedeton;
children, Velma Ezell, Leslie Ezell and husband, Keith, James Tedeton
and wife, Linda, and LaRynda Smith and husband, Leslie, all of
Downsville, La.; six grandchildren, Christy Ezell Pace, Daniel Ezell,
Dennis Ezell, Maddie Kennedy, Kelly Ezell, and Will Smith; two
great-grandchildren, Jackson Lee Richard and Hudson Chandler Pace; two
brothers, Robert Qualls of Clarksville and William (Bill) Qualls of
Ozone; two sisters, Lona Ross and Shirley Stockton, both of Hunt; and
one aunt, Ruby Jones of Lamar.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Calhoun First Baptist
Church in Calhoun, La., with Rev. Neal Everett and Rev. Dub Massey
officiating.
Burial was in Spillers Cemetery near Downsville, La., under the
direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, La.
Active pallbearers were Dennis Ezell, Donald Jordan, John Paul Reiger,
Frankie Tanner, Eddie Jordan and Frank Ardis.
Dalton Ward, 77, of Clarksville died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at his
home.
He was a retired business owner, Baptist, and son of the late Garlin
and Elsie Mae Gammill Ward.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Faye Lister Ward; one daughter,
Vickie Ann May of Gardner, Kan.; three sons, Terry Lee Ward of Olathe,
Kan., Harold Dean Ward of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Keith Bryant Ward
of Clarksville; three sisters, Zelva Lea Brewer and Glenda Kay Martin,
both of Mountain View; and Joyce Owens of Grandview, Mo.; ten
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Roller-Coffman Chapel
in Mountain View with burial at Roasting Ear Creek.
Pallbearers will be Chris Rush, David Williams, Aaron Bagby, Chris
Ward, Tyler Ward, and Derek Ward.
Genevieve Overbey Hudson, 77, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Sept. 5, at
her home.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Mary
Etta Dodson Overbey, graduate of Lamar High School, member of Cherry
Street Baptist Church, and worked for several years in the candy
business.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Hudson; two daughters, Peggy J.
Rills and husband, Barry, of Baton Rouge, La., and Diane Tomasich and
husband, Ron, of Harrison; one stepdaughter, Brenda See of Houston,
Texas; one sister, Mary H. Monroe of Fort Smith; two brothers, Ben F.
Overbey Jr. of Morrilton and James L. Overbey of Lamar; two
grandchildren, Jonathan Rills and Sarah Rills, both of Baton Rouge,
La.; and three stepgrandchildren, Sherry Hale, Tammy Viser and Lynda
Tolar, all of Houston, Texas.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Cherry Street Baptist Church
with Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.
Burial was in Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Ottie Talkington, David Talkington, James
Overbey Jr., Dwaine Ellison, Robert Hudson, and Danny Ellison.
Nephews served as honorary pallbearers.
Joe Norman Brown, 86, of Fort Smith, formerly of Johnson County, died
Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Mount Pleasant, Texas, retired after 20 years in the
U. S. Navy, where he served aboard the USS Wisconsin, retired employee
of the Whirlpool Corporation in Fort Smith, member of Harvest Time
Church and the Masonic Lodge at Green Cove Springs, Fla., and was
preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Stone Brown.
He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Nichols of Horseshoe Bay, Texas,
and Frances Meadows of Spokane, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
John Wayne Killough, 77, of Mountain Grove, Mo., died Saturday, Sept.
2, 2006, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Mo.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late John and Nellie Rowbotham
Killough, served in the U. S. Army, employee of Boeing Aircraft in
Wichita, Kan., Seattle, Wash., and Louisiana having retired after 32
years of service, attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Mountain
Grove, Mo., and was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Killough and
Johnny Killough; one daughter, Shirley Spears; one grandson, Ricky
McCarley; and five brothers, Eugene, Tommy, Finis, James and Foster
Killough.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie (Dot) Elliott Sheppard Killough; two
sons, Jack Killough and wife, Loetta, of Plummerville; and Mark
Killough of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Joy Cash of Wichita, Kan.;
five sisters, Lura Harmon and Bobbie Sherrill, both of Lamar, Sue
Duncan of Wichita, Kan., Jessie Rye of Henderson, Nev., and Oleta
Sproul of Little Rock; four grandsons, Josh Cash, Joe Cash, Curtis
Killough and John Killough; three granddaughters, Jacquelyn Cash, Mandy
Cameron and Jennifer Killough; one great-granddaughter, Sasha Cash; two
stepsons; three stepdaughters; 12 stepgrandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral was Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev.
Stasey Sheppard and Rev. Brian Hurst officiating with graveside
services and burial following at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Lamar
Cemetery.
