Inez D. Waldo, 78, of London died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at AMI St.
Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of the Flat Rock Community, daughter of the late Virge
and Erma Marie Bocksnick Dale, widow of James Waldo, member of the Flat
Rock Assembly of God Church and the Piney Extension Homemakers Club,
and was preceded in death by two brothers, Dow Price and Ern Dale.
She is survived by two sons, David Dale and wife, Eva, of Lamar and
Alfred Waldo and wife, Lee Ann, of London; three daughters, Linda
Hollon and Gloria Conquest and husband, Jamie, all of Clarksville; and
Erma Hormann and husband, Stephen, of London; two stepsons, Pete Waldo
and wife, Carolyn, of Branson, Mo., and George Waldo and wife, Betty,
of Dover; one stepdaughter, Kanna Lou Phillips and husband, Dayne, of
Clarksville; two brothers, Espie Dale and wife, Renna, of London and
Walter Dale of Lamar; one sister, Lois Whorton of London; and numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the Flat Rock Assembly of God
Church with Rev. Ronnie Birge and William Phelps officiating.
Burial was in Owens Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Humphrey
Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers were Anthony Dale, Chris Hollon, Jason Young,
Michael Prince, Steve Hormann, and Jamie Conquest.
Margie Belle Martin, 94, of Ozone died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2004, at her
home.
She was a member of the Cassville Baptist Church, daughter of the late
Andy E. and Nancy E. Cowan Brison, and the widow of Virgil Martin.
Survivors include four daughters, Rheta Keck of Siloam Springs, Nita
Bolinger of Harrisonville, Mo., Bernadine Casey of Sand Springs, Okla.,
and Modena Ramsey and husband, Jack, of Russellville; one son, Dwain
(Nick) Martin of Deer; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and
seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Cassville Baptist Church
with Dr. Jack L. Ramsey officiating.
Burial was in Cassville Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Ebb and Jimmie Young, Stanley and Effie
Gilmore, Faye Eddings, and Sonny and Phyllis Ellis.
Newt Jesse Smith Jr., 81, of Clarksville died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Knoxville, he was a son of the late Virgie Othel (Knuckles)
and Newt Jesse Smith Sr., member of the Lighthouse Christian Center,
and a retired heavy equipment operator after having been employed by
Sterlin Hurley Farms for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lucille Smith; two daughters, Linda
Holt of Clarksville and Shirley Callahan of Ozone; six sons, Ronnie
Smith and Wayne Smith, both of Lamar, Rickey Smith, Dwayne Smith and
Tony Smith, all of Clarksville, and Timothy Smith of Coal Hill; three
sisters, Lillie Dukes of Alma, Martha Wood of Springdale, and Brenda
Barnes of Rogers; one brother, Leon Smith of Lamar; 21 grandchildren;
32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel
with Rev. William Hickman officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek
Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Thomas Smith, Timothy Smith Jr., Ronnie Smith
Jr., Bryan Smith, Mark Smith, and Ray Callahan.
Vaughn Shamblin, 84, of Ozark died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, in Ozark.
A native of Hunt, he was a son of the late John and Frankie Jaggers
Shamblin, senior administrator for Teledyne-Ryan Company, Baptist, and
was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jeffers Shamblin.
Survivors include one sister, Signa Lessley of Ozark; and one brother,
Pat Shamblin of Victorville, Calif.
