Annie Elizabeth Rodgerson, 81, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 19,
2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Clarksville Church of Christ, daughter of the
late Vernie and Annie Bell Cronin, widow of Henry Rodgerson, and was
preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth
Mickelson of Clarksville, Joyce and John George of Ozone and Kay and
Danny Varnell of Subiaco; one sister, Alta Waits of Magnolia, Texas;
one aunt, Donie Polk of Salem, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, at the
Clarksville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating
Dorothy Jean Chittenden, 67, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Midland, Texas, and daughter of the late Jessie and
D. Sanders Kizer.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Chittenden Sr.; five daughters,
Barbara Chittenden of Texas, Paula Chittenden of Louisiana, Deborah
Chittenden, Cheryl Wiedeman and husband, Dean, of Knoxville and Brenda
Williams and husband, Joseph; three sons, Earl Chittenden Jr. and wife,
Tina, and Eric Chittenden and wife, Tina, all of Lamar, and Christopher
Chittenden and wife, Brittany, of Texas; one sister, Ruth Fulmer of
Slidell, La.; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Elizabeth I. Hays, 28, of Hartman died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Clarksville, 1995 graduate of Westside High School
at Coal Hill, 2005 magna cum laude graduate of the University of the
Ozarks, member of the Ozarks Student Education Association, Kappa Delta
Pi, Phi Alpha Theta, U of O Dean's List, Arkansas Education
Association, and Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death
by her maternal grandfather, David Lincoln Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hays Jr.; three daughters,
Mersadie Hays, Katelea Hays and Hailey Hays, all of the home; mother
and father, Jennifer and Lee Tollison of Hartman; grandparents, Frances
and Frank Tollison of Hartman and Irene Lincoln of New York; one
sister, Samantha Tollison of Hartman; one brother, Steven Tollison of
Lamar; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Ronald Hays Sr. of
Kibler; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Union Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. Burnett King officiating.
Burial was in West Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bruce Barnes, Steve Robinson, Shane Shepard, Sean
Pannell, Brandon Shipley, and Sterling Penix.
Florine Spanke Rinke, 86, of Clarksville died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005,
in Fort Smith.
She was a native of Hartman, youngest and last surviving child of Frank
and Gertrude Gerard Spanke, widow of Edwin J. Rinke, member of Holy
Redeemer Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society, former cook
at Holy Redeemer Catholic School at Clarksville, and was preceded in
death by one son, Edwin J. Rinke Jr.; three sisters; and five brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Joanne Rinke, Karen Rinke, and
Virginia Ricketts and husband, Rob, all of Fort Smith; one son, Steve
Rinke of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Melissa, Kristen and Brandon
Ricketts and Derek, Jessica and Connor Rinke; two great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
Rosary service was at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral
Chapel.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Holy Redeemer Catholic
Church with Abbott Jerome Kodell and Rev. William Wewers, O.S.B.,
officiating.
Burial was in Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery under the direction of
Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bob Halliburton, Gene Raible, Lance Spanke, Ralph
Kodell, John Rodemann, Ron Spanke, Bill Rinke, and Ernest Rinke.
James M. DuVall, 60, of Dardanelle, brother of Ernest DuVall of Lamar,
died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center
in Russellville.
A native of Atkins, he was a son of the late Elmer Newton and Mary
Elior Lair DuVall, U. S. Army veteran, retired USDA inspector after 30
years of service, a real estate investor, and was preceded in death by
two brothers, Charles and Lee DuVall; and one sister, Margie Irwin.
He is survived by three sons, James David DuVall of Russellville,
Donald DuVall of Hector and Michael DuVall of Dardanelle; two other
brothers, David DuVall of Atkins and Phillip DuVall of Russellville;
five sisters, May Ramirez of Arizona, and Mabel Wiley, Gladys Holmes,
Mary Darter and Linda Harris, all of Russellville; nine grandchildren;
and companion, Martha Owens of Dardanelle.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Cornwell Chapel in
Dardanelle with Rev. Charles Sutterfield officiating. Burial was in St.
Joe Cemetery at Atkins.
Jimmy Clardy Wright, 59, of Lamar died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late S. J. Wright, member and deacon at East Mount
Zion Trinity Baptist Church, teacher and he coached the 2001 state
championship baseball team at Scranton.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wright; one daughter, Porsha
Russell and husband, Jason, of Coal Hill; one son, Douglas Wright and
wife, Kelli, of Clarksville; mother, Mildred Davis Wright of Van Buren;
one sister, Joyce Hartsfield of Fort Smith; and two grandchildren, Noah
Wright and Tanner Russell.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at East Mount Zion Trinity
Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Holman Cemetery north of Lamar under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were deacons of the East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church.
Mary Geneva Jennings, 86, of Granby, Mo., formerly of Clarksville, died
Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at The Granby House in Granby, Mo.
A native of Atkins, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Nora Jane
Austin Barefield, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in
death by four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her husband, John V. Jennings; one daughter, Janelle
Gray of San Antonio, Texas; one son, James D. Jennings of Paragould;
four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Humphrey Chapel in
Russellville followed by burial in Bells Chapel Cemetery at Arkins.
Reno Babe Enos, 45, of Lamar died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Los Angeles, Calif., son of the late Bill and Pearl
Mae Walters Enos, and an air compresser operator.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennie Enos of Lamar; five sisters and
one brother-in-law, Wilma and Kenny Rice of Des Moines, Iowa, Darlene
Enos of Downey, Calif., Jackie Lay of San Antonio, Texas, Shelia Turner
of Pottsville, and Johnnie Joann Taylor of Atkins; three brothers and
two sisters-in-law, Robert and Teresa Enos of Russellville, Merill and
Penny Enos of Pottsville, and Troy Enos of Appleton; and one grandson,
Trey Josgua Chandler of Lamar.
Russell Eugene Farrow, 82, of Washington, Okla., father of Francis Hern
of Knoxville, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, in Fayetteville.
He was a World War II veteran, son of the late Rollie Eugene and
Francis Maude White Farrow, and a former resident of Ozark.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Sharlotte JoAnn; two
other daughters, Donna Friddle and Melinda Mason, both of Ozark; three
brothers, Larry Farrow of Springfield, Tenn., and Fred and Leroy Farrow
of Oklahoma; one sister, Joyce of Louisiana; 13 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
Shane Brown, 33, of Charleston died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at a Fort
Smith hospital.
He was born at Havre De Grace, Md., a Baptist and a truck driver for
Tankersley Food Service.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Brown; two daughters, Kae La Brown
and Fantasia Brown, both of the home; two sons, Kyle Brown and Maurice
Brown, both of the home; father, Robert Brown of Claremore, Okla.;
mother, Barbara O'Neal of Cecil; maternal grandmother, Beatrice Holzman
of Cecil; and one sister, Fernanda Brown of Claremore, Okla.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Bloomer Baptist Church with
burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery at Charleston. Arrangements were
under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Inc.
