Agnes Marie Rambo, 90, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Countryside
Manor Nursing Home.
She was born to Ola and Esther Evans Park in Clarksville but lived most
of her adult life in Fort Smith, retired Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company employee, served in the U. S. Navy WAVES during World War II,
widow of Lawrence Rambo, member of the First United Methodist Church
and had served as organist and pianist for several churches. She was
preceded in death by one brother, Alvis Park; and one infant sister,
Mary Elizabeth Park.
Survivors include one niece, Mary Lou Downing of Austin, Texas; two
great-nephews and one great-niece, all of Texas; and numerous cousins.
Junior R. Garrett, 81, of Lamar died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at
Clarksville.
He was a son of the late John R. and Savannah McKinney Garrett, native
of Amber, Okla., former resident of Muldrow, Okla., veteran,
Protestant, truck driver for Bruce Hix, and a horse trader. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magadiline Floyd Garrett;, two
brothers, Waymon and Clayburn Garrett; and two sisters, Opal Mullins
and Florene Crosslin.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jack Albert
Justice of Lamar; one sister-in-law, Faye Floyd Waters of Sallisaw,
Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, at
Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith with Rev. Lowell
Churchill officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Agent
Funeral Home of Muldrow, Okla.
William E. Hull, 74, of Artesia, N. M., died Wednesday, July 21, 2004,
in Artesia, N. M.
He was a native of Clarksville but had resided in Artesia, N. M., since
1956, son of the late Joseph Chester and Sarah Jewel Shrum Hull, public
school principal retiring from Zia Intermediate School in 1984, active
member of First United Methodist Church, member of the Eastern New
Mexico Senior Golf Association, and lifetime member of the N.E.A. He
was preceded in death by one brother and one great-granddaughter,
Bryannah Galindo.
Survivors include his widow, Patsy Baber Hull; one son and
daughter-in-law, Mark and Shelli Hull of Artesia, N. M.; one daughter
and son-in-law, Leslie and George Studds of Lovington, N. M.; and four
grandchildren, Monica Solis and spouse, Refugio, Veronica Hull,
Christopher Studds and Kirstene Campbell.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at the First United
Methodist Church in Arsia, N. M., with Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen
officiating.
Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery under the direction of Terpening and
Son Mortuary.
Active pallbearers were Jess McGary, Tom Felber, Bill Case, Killian
Nettesheim, Mike Simons and Ronnie Hull.
Honorary pallbearers were the Thursday Senior Golfers.
Windell L. Stumbaugh, 64, of Lamar died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at
Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was born at Mt. Levi, son of the late Henry Ruben and Arnie Lois
Freed Stumbaugh, graduate of Lamar High School, retired from the United
States Air Force as a master sergeant in 1981 after 20 years of service
during which time he served two years in Vietnam, two years in Korea
and one year in Okinawa, received an aeronautical engineering degree,
was a member of the Jolly Greens Air Rescue, and the recipient of three
Silver Stars and one Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by one
brother, Arnold Ray Stumbaugh.
Survivors include his widow, Marilyn Stumbaugh; one sister, Genevie
Payne of West Fork; and six brothers, G. C. Stumbaugh of Augusta, H. L.
Stumbaugh, David Stumbaugh and Don Stumbaugh, all of Lamar, Frank
Stumbaugh of Cabot, and Wayland (Butch) Stumbaugh of Prairie Grove.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel
with Rev. Dale Lantz officiating. Burial with full military honors was
at Annie's Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Richard Milner, Arnold Ray Stumbaugh Jr., Tim
Stumbaugh, Dennis Stumbaugh, Steve Stumbaugh, Doug Stumbaugh, and Mike
Taverner.
