Craig Allen VanDenBerg, 28, of Ozark died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, in
Ozark.
He was a native of Ozark and a self-employed operator of Vandees
Store in Ozark.
Survivors include his widow, Kristi VanDenBerg; one daughter, Olivia
Teresa VanDenBerg of Alabama; one son, Gage Allen VanDenBerg of
Alabama; mother, Elizabeth VanDenBerg of Ozark; and two brothers,
Andrew Soenksen and Brian Hutchinson, both of Altus.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at South
Park
with Rev. Mike Pennington officiating. Arrangements were under the
direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Ernest Marlind Tate, 68, of Clarksville died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from the U. S. Marine Corps, served in Vietnam,
former
employee of Gulf Oil and U-Haul Company of Arkansas, was the developer
of Shadow Valley Subdivision, a Baptist, son of the late Ermal and
Estelle Davis Tate, and was preceded in death by one son, David Tate;
one great-grandchild, Colton Krumdick; one brother, Archie Tate; and
two half-brothers, Howard Blakenship and Paul Blakenship.
Survivors include his widow, Betty Louise Tate; one daughter and
son-in-law, Debra and Greg Krumdick of Clarksville; two sons, Ernie Joe
Tate and Michael Tate, both of Clarksville; four brothers, Lonnie Tate
of Clarksville, Edward Tate of Fayetteville, Gerald Tate of Rogers, and
Malcolm Tate of Ozark; four grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Krumdick of
Clarksville and Lucas and Joey Tate of Dover; one granddaughter,
Freedom Tate; and one great-grandchild, Devan Tate.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Roller-Cox Chapel
with
Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Flora Bertha Wilson, 81, of Hagarville died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at
St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, daughter of the late John
T. and May Warren Barber, and widow of Gorman S. Wilson.
She is survived by four sisters, Anna Freeman, Rosetta Barber, Mary
Barber and Wanda Crumrine, all of Hagarville; and two brothers, Bill
Barber of Owasso, Okla., and J. T. Barber of Hagarville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Hagarville Church of
Christ with John Ballard officiating.
Burial was in the Adams Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were James Freeman, Gary Don Barber, Ronnie
Crumrine, James Hurst, Vaughnon Freeman, Don McCall, Ronnie Crumrine
Jr., and Michael Barber.
Mary C. Pleva, 60, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at her
home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late John Kremers,
graduate of St. Scholastica High School at Fort Smith, graduate of St.
Vincent School of Nursing in Little Rock and the first nurse in the
Clarksville School system, and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic
Church and Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Pleva; one son and
daughter-in-law, Larry and Anne Pleva of Oak Creek, Wis.; mother,
Dorothy Kremers of Clarksville; two brothers, Joe Kremers and Tom
Kremers, both of Clarksville; and eight nieces and nephews.
William W. "Bill" Reasoner, 61, of Clarksville died Satuday, Aug. 30,
2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Russellville, son of the late Clark and Sybil
Webb
Reasoner, retired from Whitson-Morgan Motor Company where he served as
assistant service manager, after having worked as a service manager in
Bozeman, Mont., for over 21 years, past president of the Jaycees in
Cabot, former member of the Civil Defense Team and volunteer fire
department in Cabot and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glynda Reasoner; one son and
daughter-in-law, William Stephen and Aimee Reasoner of Bozeman, Mont.;
one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dan Adams of Hampton, Ga.;
father-in-law, Luther Carroll and wife, Theresa, of Cabot; one brother
and sister-in-law, Jim and Melody Reasoner of Clarksville; one sister
and brother-in-law, Ann and Leonard Cowan of Stockton, Calif.; and
eight grandchildren, Chris, Danny, Ashley, Bridger, Harrison, J. T.,
Skyler and Connor.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at
the
First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Burial
will be in Graves Cemetery near Delaware. Arrangements are under the
direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Evelyn Earlene Rogers, 55, of Elkins died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at her
home.
She was a native of Alix, daughter of the late Willie Qualls and was
employed by Georgie's as a poultry vaccinator.
Survivors include her husband, Junior Rogers; one daughter, Melissa
Dobbins of Pea Ridge; one son, Rodney Dobbins of Newport News, Va.;
mother and stepfather, Joy Ruth and Coy Ellison of Ozark; one sister,
Sharon Walker of Ozark; one brother, David Ellison of Ozark; and seven
grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Shaffer Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Steve Sawrie officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge
Cemetery at Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Mack McClellan, Shayne Ellison, Allan Ellison,
Aaron Ellison, Dion Walker and Bobby Harold Qualls.
