Bobby Casey, 65, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Fort
Smith.
He was a retired security officer with Industrial Security Services of
Houston, served in the Navy, Baptist, son of the late Grady P. and Thelma
Casey, and a native of Wharton, Texas.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey Casey of Clute, Texas; one sister,
Nell Craig of Hitchcock, Texas; and two brothers, Wilson Casey of Splendora,
Texas, and Danny Casey of Houston.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with Rev. Jay Wells officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Carrie Jean Wilson, 49, of Satellite Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 3,
2003, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, graduate of Clarksville High School and
Capital City Business College in Russellville, member of the Clarksville First
United Methodist Church, daughter of the late Ed Noel Blackard, an insurance
adjustor, and had resided in Florida since 1987.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Stephen Wilson; two daughters
and one son-in-law, E. Rachard and Phillip Andrews and Ragon Jean Wilson,
all of Satellite Beach, Fla.; one son, Parker W. Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.;
mother, Fayne Blackard of Clarksville; two sisters, Sandra Bryan of Tucson,
Ariz., and Cheryl Coffman of Russellville; and one grandchild, Taylor J.
Andrews of Satellite Beach, Fla.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9,
at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Arrangements are under
the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Donald Wayne Frederick, 60, of Clarksville died July 29, 2003, at his
home.
He was a truck driver, Baptist, son of the late Chester Frederick, and
was preceded in death by one sister, France Navine Frederick.
Survivors include his widow, Janet Meyer Frederick; three daughters, Sara
Hinds, Marla Blivenn and Donitta Frederick, all of Springdale; three stepdaughters,
Janet Miciotto of Louisiana, Vickie Kane of Springdale, and Robin Oziah of
Fayetteville; two stepsons, Brian Smith of Clarksville and Carl Dodd of Louisiana;
mother and stepfather, Ruby and Glen Head of Rudd; one sister, Anna Loftin
of Springdale; one brother, Greg Head of Rudd; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren;
seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Big Sandy Church in Marble with
Rev. Darrell Wilson and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial was in Big Sandy Cemetery at Marble under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Dovie Rue Kinnard, 91, of Fort Smith, mother of Ray Alston of Clarksville,
died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital.
She was a member of Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church where she
served on the Mothers Board.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Newton of Ozark; three other sons,
Jesse Kinnard of Chester, Harold Kinnard of Fort Smith, and Ersie Kinnard
of Gans, Okla.; 31 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Mission Point Missionary
Baptist Church with burial at Gray Rock Cemetery under the direction of Rowell-Parish
Mortuary of Fort Smith.
George Edward Becker, 77, of Fort Smith died Thursday, July 24, 2003,
at his home.
A native of Altus, he was formerly of the Hartman area, son of the late
Frederick John and Rosie Marie Elser Becker, 1944 graduate of St. Anne's Academy,
served in the U. S. Navy, retired employee of Becker Foundry and retired
assistant fire chief having served as a firefighter at Fort Chaffee. He was
preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Becker; and one sister, Dorothy
Szcezerba.
Survivors include his widow, Pat Martin Becker; one sister, Margaret Ann
Bartley of Fort Smith; three brothers, Mike Becker and Bob Becker, both of
Fort Smith, and John Becker of Palm Springs, Calif.; five nephews; and ten
nieces.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Funeral
mass was recited at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Christ the King Catholic Church
in Fort Smith by Father Bill Elser. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Jesse William Loch, 80, of Clarksville died July 29, 2003, in Little
Rock.
He was a retired truck owner, Army veteran, and son of the late Ora S.
and Lena Marie Stinson Loch.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Marlene Loch of Salton City,
Calif., Karen Gibson of Chino Hills, Calif., and Lisa Loch of Clarksville;
one son, Gary Loch of Clarksville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Gerald Morris officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Leonard L. Koch, 82, of Paris, brother of Lawrence Koch of Coal Hill,
died July 27, 2003.
He was a son of the late Jacob Valentine and Anna Marie Sweppenstede Koch,
World War II U. S. Navy veteran, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at
Paris, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars, retired rancher
and coal miner, and was preceded in death by one son, David Leonard Koch.
Survivors include his widow, Eula Mae Whitecotton Koch; one daughter,
Diane Koch Kremers of Paris; one son, Tommy Louis Koch of Paris; one other
brother, Edward Koch of Paris; nine grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel
in Paris with burial in Baxley Cemetery at Paris.

Linda J. Loell, 52, of North Highlands, Calif., daughter of Gerald Pentzer
of Clarksville, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003, in California.
Other survivors include her husband, Greg Loell; two daughters, Kerry
Loell and Stacey Loell, both of North Highlands, Calif.; and two brothers,
Jerry D. Pentzer of Ozark and Larry J. Pentzer of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral was in North Highlands, Calif.
Mabadean Culp Howard, 87, of Lamar died July 29, 2003, at Johnson Regional
Medical Center.
She was a member of the Hagarville Baptist Church, daughter of the late
Owen and Maude Murray Craighead, and was preceded in death by two daughters,
Lorell Culp and Jutuan Robinson.
Survivors include her husband, Reece Howard; two daughters, Marilyn Burris
of Welch, Okla., and Nancy Reece of Ozone; one son, Preston Culp of Peck,
Kan.; two brothers, Max Murray of Texas and Kimbel Murray of Kansas; 17 grandchildren;
32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Hagarville Baptist Church
with Rev. Kenneth Preston officiating.
Burial was in Russell Cemetery at Ozone under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.

Funeral for Nell Williamson, 73, of Carthage, Mo., who died July 28, 2003,

Vernon G. Loften Sr., 78, of Clarksville died Thursday, July 31, 2003,
at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway.
He was born at Fergus Falls, Minn., son of the late John and Inga Hilde
Loften, member of Grace Lutheran Church of Clarksville, Army veteran of World
War II, lifetime member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars,
retired employee of the Ford Motor Company in Los Angeles, Calif., and a
member of the United Auto Workers.
Survivors are one son, Vernon Loften Jr. of Vilonia; two sisters, Doris
Lindgren and Gladys Skansgard, both of Duluth, Minn.; and two grandchildren,
Jacqueline Loften and Jesse Loften.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Grace Lutheran Church with
Pastor Herb Swanson officiating.
Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Lutherville under the direction
of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
