Pauline June English, 68, of Altus died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Mercy
Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of Hartman, she was a waitress, Baptist and preceded in death
by her father, Cephas Allred.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald English; two sons, Robert Wayne
English and Bryan Keith English, both of Altus; mother, Sylvia Sosebee
Allred of Ozark; three sisters, Angerie Terry of Doddridge, Reba Peevy
of Alma, and Brenda Lewis of Mulberry; three brothers, Harrison Allred
and Larry Allred, both of Ozark, and Bobby Allred of Coal Hill; five grandchildren,
Chris English, Ashley Millholland, Bryan Tyler English, and Brad English,
all of Altus, and Roxann Cooper; and one great-grandchild, Makayla Millholland.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Michael Lewis officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery at
Ozark.
Active pallbearers were Tom Eveld, Harold Jennings, Harold Millholland,
Rickey Don Leding, Jack Blackburn, and Richard Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Ricky Rowe, Ricky Allred, Kevin Allred, Gary Terry, Michael Peevy, and Britt Allred.
Cecil Howell Baker, 85, of Lamar died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at his
home.
He was a son of the late William Thomas and Margaret Ann Roberson Baker,
Army veteran, Baptist, retired sawmill employee, and was preceded in death
by one son, William Cecil Baker.
Survivors include his widow, Wilda Orpha Dean Baker; four grandchildren,
Janet Shoptaw of Dardanelle, Greg Baker of Pottsville, and Gary and Kim
Baker, both of Clarksville; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the
Holman Cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under
the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Guinnip.

Claudie Bell Kemp, 73, of Rose Hill, Miss., stepmother of Patricia A.
Manning of Knoxville and Lee Roy Kemp of Lamar, died Saturday, Sept. 9,
2000, at Jeff Anderson Hospital in Meridian, Miss.
She was the widow of Roy James (Buck) Kemp.
Other than stepchildren she is survived by one son, Charlie E. Tisdale
of Rose Hill, Miss.; three daughters, Donna J. Moore of Rose Hill, Miss.,
Barbara Cooper of Hurley, Miss., and Shelia Carroll of Quitman, Miss.;
eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren
and six stepgreat-grandchildren of Knoxville and Lamar.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Pleasant Grove Methodist
Church with Rev. Ray Daniel officiating.

Carl Michael McNeese, 49, of Russellville died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000.
A native of Ola, he was a son of the late William and Lucy Lorene Mayhane
McNeese, logger, Baptist, and was preceded in death by two brothers and
one sister.
Survivors include his widow, Lois Osburn McNeese; three daughters and
sons-in-law, Lois and Travis Kimbriel of Clarksville, Tina and Michael
May of Dardanelle, and Carla and Josh Van Hunnick of Russellville; six
sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Angie McNeese of Russellville,
Michael Lee, Carl Jr., Jessie, John and Cole McNeese, all of Russellville;
six grandchildren, Ashley and Mackenzie Kimbriel, Zachary and MaKayla Van
Hunnick, and Brittany and Rocky May; nine brothers, James, Robert, Leroy,
Paul, Damon, Gerald, Patrick, Stephen and Timothy McNeese; one sister,
Mary McGuiggan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Dardanelle Funeral Service with Rev. Joe Yates officiating. The body was cremated.
Dotty Stillwell, 62, of Clarksville died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Tyronza, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ola
Mae White Watson, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, the
Newcomers Club, and board of directors of the Clarksville-Johnson County
Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Retail Merchants Association, and
owner and operator of Stillwell Furniture and Vivian's Tea Room.
Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Stillwell; three sons, Charles
E. (Chuck) Stillwell II and Danny Stillwell, both of Clarksville, and Jeff
Stillwell of Southhaven, Miss.; one stepdaughter, Judy Grates of Sallisaw,
Okla.; one stepson, Phillip Stillwell of Burbank, Calif.; two sisters,
Betty Baldwin of Mishawaka, Ind., and Sue Koester of Hartman; two brothers,
Robert Watson of Mishawka, Ind., and Jerry Watson of Hartman; 13 grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Landmark Missionary
Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke
Funeral Home.

Frances M. McGlothlin, 69, of Hartman died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at
Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of New Albany, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Benjamin
Phillip and Emma Sharff Beaver, widow of Roy Irving McGlothlin, member
of the Order of Eastern Star and the Church of Weslyan Methodist Church
of Christ, both in Watertown, S. D., and was preceded in death by one son,
Woody; and twin daughters, Joanna and Anna Joe McGlothlin.
She is survived by three daughters, Edith Drake, Ella May Jones and
Frances Faye Turner, all of Louisville, Ky.; three sons, Roy (Mac) McGlothlin
of Coal Hill, Joe McGlothlin of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Rocky McGlothlin
of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lance King officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Leavenworth Memorial Gardens in Leavenworth, Ind.
Heather M. Baumann, 12, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000,
at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was a native of Charleston,
S. C.
Survivors are her parents, Edward and Cari Mefford Baumann; one sister,
Jesi Halsema of Fayetteville; two brothers, Ephrain and Sean Baumann of
the home; paternal grandparents, Ervin and Frances Baumann of the Hickeytown
Community; and maternal grandmother, Jimmie V. Mefford of Clarksville.
An informal farewell was held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Beard's
Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. The body was cremated.

Henry H. (Rod) Clayborn, 70, of Knoxville died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000,
at his home.
A son of the late Joe and Daisy Woods Clayborn, he was a native of Lamar,
Korean War Army veteran, member of the Pittsburgh Baptist Church, an employee
of Eureka Brick and Tile Company for 26 years, and was preceded in death
by one grandson, Adam Harris; two brothers, Jessell Clayborn and Kenneth
Clayborn; and one sister, Emma Gaddis.
Survivors include his widow, Shirley Jenkins Clayborn; one daughter
and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Harris; two brothers, Ralph Clayborn and
James Clayborn, both of Lamar; and four grandchildren, Desiree, Rodney
and Joshua Harris, all of Lamar, and Clifford Harris of Washington.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Pittsburgh Baptist
Church with Rev. Jimmy Milloway officiating.
Burial will be in the Lamar Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral
Service of Russellville.

John R. Wyatt Jr., 62, of Branch, father of Steven Wyatt of Clarksville,
died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at the Paris hospital.
A native of Branch, he was a son of the late John R. Wyatt Sr., retired
school teacher and basketball coach at County Line School, member of the
Arkansas High School Coaches Association and First United Methodist Church
at Branch, and was founder of Children In Need.
He is survived by one daughter, Chrisenda Lee Wyatt of Charleston; two
other sons, John Wesley Wyatt of Fort Smith and Michael Wyatt of Arlington,
Texas; mother, Dorothy Chastain Wyatt of Branch; three sisters, Shirley
Cox of Little Rock, Barbara Lovell of Fort Smith, and Alicia Wyatt of Branch;
three brothers, Jim Wyatt of Fort Smith, Bill Wyatt of Van Buren, and Phillip
Wyatt of Caulksville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Smith Mortuary Chapel with
Rev. David Wasson and Rev. Roger Haney officiating. Burial was at Hampton
Cemetery north of Branch.

Myrtle Marie Tate, 86, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at
Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
widow of Joe A. Tate, daughter of the late Thomas and Nelly Kimple Ricketts,
and was preceded in death by one son, Elick E. Tate; one sister, Nannie
Ricketts; and two brothers, Roy Ricketts and Willis Ricketts.
She is survived by five daughters, Betty L. Tate, Goldie M. Stewart,
Dolly I. Sinor, and Lorean K. Brasfield, all of Clarksville, and Ruby J.
Fowler of Ozark; four sons, Joe Lee Tate Jr. of Clarksville, Loyd A. Tate
and Paul E. Tate, both of Ozone, and Guy L. Tate of Lamar; one sister,
Flora Pincomb of Vernon, Mich.; 32 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Ozone Full Gospel
Church with Rev. Charles R. Boone officiating.
Burial will be in Case Cemetery at Fallsville under the direction of
Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

William Nathan (Billy) Myers, 76, of Longview, Wash., died Sept. 6,
2000, at a Longview (Washington) nursing home.
He was a native of the Spadra Community, son of the late William Hugh
and Rose Bell Bohannon Myers, and attended the Johnson County school at
Spadra until enlisting in the U. S. Navy in May 1941. During World War
II, he was a first-class pharmacist mate and served as a field medic assigned
to the U. S. Marine Corps. He was the recipient of a two-star Asiatic Pacific
Campaign medal, American Campaign medal, American Defense Service medal,
Navy Good Conduct medal, Presidential Citation, World War II Victory medal
and was in Tokoyo Bay for the Japanese surrendering. He was employed for
Weyerhaeuser Company in Longview, Wash., for 25 years prior to retirement
and was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth Freeman Myers of Spadra;
and one infant son, David.
Survivors include four sons, William N. Myers Jr. of Monroe, Wash.,
Christopher G. Myers of Issaquah, Wash., Robert H. Myers of Glenrock, Wyo.,
and Darrell W. Myers of King George, Va.; two daughters, Rebecca Ruth Roy
of Longview, Wash., and Martha Jan Williams of Bakersfield, Calif.; one
brother, William James Myers of Yorba Linda, Calif.; two sisters, Lucy
Myers of Yucaipa, Calif., and Mary Lee Worley of Wilmington, Calif.; aunts,
Mary Howard and Margareette Killingsworth of Clarksville; 17 grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; and nunerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation was under the direction of Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel in Longview, Wash., with interment at Cowlitz View Memorial Cemetery in Longview, Wash.
Wayne Owens, 65, of Doniphan, Mo., died Aug. 25, 2000, at the Baxter
County Hospital in Mountain Home.
He was a son of the late Greeley and Vonie Stone Owens and a native
of Hagarville having moved to Detroit, Mich., in 1955, where he was employed
in the steel mills until 1984 when he retired and moved to Doniphan, Mo.
Survivors include his widow, Helen Owens; one stepdaughter, Rita Ochsenkiel
of Missouri; one stepston, Larry Trivett of Texas; ten grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held. The body was cremated.
