Mrs. Edna M. Sanders Hall, 89, of Springdale died Thursday, Aug. 17,
2000, at Northwest Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Claude Lewis and Myrtle Johnson Watson,
widow of Cladie Sanders and Jim Hall, retired hospital employee, and a
Baptist.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Vera and V. H. Taylor
of Springdale, Myrtle and Bill Taylor of Springdale and Faye and Fred Cowell
of Clarksville; two half-brothers, Amos Watson of New Mexico and Johnny
Watson of Hagarville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Dr.
Gene Fulcher and Rev. Rodney Weeks officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Taylor, Nick Taylor, Bill Harris, Lance Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Mike Mee.
Mrs. Florence E. Massey, 58, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000,
at Beverly Health Care in Van Buren.
She was a daughter of the late Jimmy Bennett, widow of Jimmy Ray Massey,
a member of the Jamestown Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death
by two brothers, Leon Ellison and Kenneth Greenhall.
She is survived by five daughters, Bonnie Johnson and Tamsey Parker,
both of Hartman, Jimmie Dayton of Decatur, and Sandra Massey and Ronda
Massey, both of Clarksville; two sons, James Massey and John Massey, both
of Clarksville; mother, Elizabeth Chavers Mefford of Lamar; five sisters,
Donna Mefford and Jackie Pelts, both of Lamar, Imogene King of Ozone, and
Dimple Carston and Louise Culley, both of Clarksville; two brothers, Jimmy
Greenhall of Lamar and Doyle Mefford of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Jamestown Assembly
of God Church with Rev. Rick Reeves and Rev. Jay McEntyre officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gladys Thomson Patterson, 92, of Clarksville died Monday, Aug.
21, 2000, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was the widow of Edward Hall Patterson Sr., member of Clarksville
First Presbyterian Church, where she was a past elder and member of the
church circle and women's association, charter member of Chapter Q, PEO
Sisterhood, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, former
school teacher at Mansfield, native of Charleston, and daughter of the
late Clyde and Jessie Laura DeZeile Thomson.
Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward H. Jr. and Paula
Patterson of Germantown, Tenn., George and Jackie Patterson of Knoxville,
Tenn., and John Samuel and Edna Patterson of Clarksville; three sisters,
Ada Asher, Naomi Ramos and Jean Laws, all of Fort Smith; one brother, Sam
Thomson of Charleston; and four grandchildren, Page Hardin of Fayetteville,
Penny Coffman of Russellville, Eddie Patterson of Nashville, Tenn., and
Brian Patterson of Germantown, Tenn.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Clarksville First
Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lance Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
James E. Wells, 80, of Dover died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at his home.
He was a native of Tulsa, Okla., son of the late J. H. and Lena Rodgers
Wells, retired from the military services and was preceded in death by
his wife, Velma Seals Wells.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Wells and Robert Wells, both of
Clarksville; one daughter, Mary Wells Parker of Clarksville; five grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was Monday, Aug. 7, at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover with burial at Fort Donelson National Cemetery in Dover.
Mrs. Mildred C. O'Neal Harger, 84, of Coal Hill died Friday, Aug. 18,
2000, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., she was a daughter of the late Irvie and
Grace Kenne O'Neal, widow of Elvis (Bony) Harger, and a retired Union Bakery
employee.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Wilma Hecker,
Millie Wall and Deborah Bartlett, all of Coal Hill, Carol Regan of St.
Louis, Mo., Paul Hecker of Clarks-
ville and James Harger of Ozark.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews, Robert Wall, Michael Wall, Otto Wall, Arron Bartlett, Paul Hecker, Jim Saunders, Gene Saunders, and Jim Harger.
Robert Wayne Lemasters, 78, of Harrison, formerly of Clarksville, died
Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000.
Survivors include his widow, Lillian Lemasters; two sons and one daughter-in-law,
Kent and Sherry Lemasters of Corona Delmar, Calif., and Robert Lemasters
of Clarksville; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Don Sugg of Harrison;
one brother, Charles Lemasters of Springfield, Mo.; four granddaughters;
one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Northvale Baptist Church
in Harrison with Rev. Billy R. Usery and Rev. David Talbert officiating.
Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial
Chapel in Harrison.
Active pallbearers were Kent Lemasters, Robert Lemasters, Don Sugg,
Brian Sugg, Mike Oswald, and Don Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers were the men's Sunday school class of Northvale
Baptist Church.
